SavingStar.com has just released a new offer good for 20% back (up to $2) on your loose Apples Purchase valid through 9/29/2014. This offer is not valid at BJ’s, Giant Eagle, Shurfine, Shursave, Kennie’s, Family Owned Markets, Thriftway, Shop n Bag or Stauffers of Kissel Hill stores.
* Note that after you purchase the apples, the 20% cash back will be deposited into your SavingStar account within 2-22 days depending on the store where you made your purchase; you will also receive an email when the savings post to your account. And remember, once you get $5 in your SavingStar account, you can transfer the savings to your bank, PayPal, or Amazon gift card.
(Thanks, Freebies for a Cause!)
How exactly does this work? I bought apples at Target tonight along with a couple other SavingStar items. Obviously the other items have barcodes to scan so they know what to look for, but loose apples don’t have the barcode. How do they know I want to redeem the rebate? (Sorry, I’m a pro at ibotta but new to SavingStar!)
Hi Jennifer, To save on apples by scanning your receipt, tap the receipt screen as if you were scanning a barcode and then tap the link that says “Produce item without a barcode.” Thanks for using SavingStar! -Josh
