Ugh..I did this too fast and didn’t realize you couldn’t send it to yourself! I sent it to myself but at a different email address although it does have my name on the email…hope i still get it but I haven’t gotten the email yet saying I received a e-gift card.
My autofill kicked in and I didn’t notice. I did email them and see if they can change it and I could still be eligible for the bonus. Waiting on a reply.
I did the same thing, but when I received my receipt via email, it showed that I received the $20 not $10. I hope the same happens to you. Good luck. (Emailing them seems like a great idea if you don’t get the extra $10.)
I ended up calling them. They cancelled my order and I was able to reorder using my DH’s email and it worked. I would call them.

Thanks it worked for me, my husband gifted me one, he even used a Visa in my name (shared account) and it still worked we didnt know it worked until we read his email receipt and when they emailed me my gift card it said $20!!

How do they know if you send it yourself? lol did you guys just make up a name as the sender? I’m wondering if the recipient name just can’t match the name on the card. I’d love to know what you guys did to ensure the bonus $10 thanks
My recipient name DID match the name on the card, my husband and I share my account so it must be the email address because he used his email address as sender and mine as recipient, hope this helps I did get the bonus when it arrived in my email.
Bought one using my email address and sent it to my DH(also my backup) email address. Bonus worked like Collin said it would.
Wish there was a way to do this deal with a physical card. This is great for christmas but it stinks that you can’t “give” them an actual card. Just a “hey, check your email”.
Jess print it out and take it to Starbucks with a GC that has a 0 balance and they can transfer the money to that card. Hope that helps!!
I got one and gifted it to my husband. Worked great! I went through the links here and in my confirmation email it shows the $10 and then under it says “$10 bonus included”. I also got a confirmation email that the $20 gift card was delivered. Awesome!!

Right, but Visa & MC are owned by the same company. Same as promotions using VISA Checkout. I was able to use my MC, and it worked.

For me it didn’t show on the purchase confirmation, but it did show as a $20 GC when I got the email receipt. The email receipt is stamped with the VISA logo. Have not received the actual gift card yet though as of ordering it 10 minutes ago.

That is correct, this is a Visa promotion.
Some Visa promotions work with a MasterCard–same company.

I got the same error and then tried it again and it went through, however I did NOT get the $10 bonus in my email confirmation. I purchased two of these as gifts. Bummed, but not enough to call and wait on hold to deal with it. 😀
Ordered 45 minutes ago and recipients have not rec’d their ecards. I emailed SB’s to see what the problem is. Seems this promo has been hit or miss, but hopefully it will all be straightened out with minimal fuss.
Unfortunately it says you can only do the promo once, so that’s likely why yours didn’t work. I’m surprised it didn’t work on at least one of them though. Hopefully they can resolve it for you soon!
Exactly what happened. However I thought that I should still qualify for the bonus on one card and that the second card would just be the straight $10. I ordered them in one transaction. I emailed SB’s and they were incredibly rude, which really shocked me. I guess I should have called, but I don’t have the time to sit on hold. Oh well. Live and learn.

It does show the bonus on the receipt that comes to your email from the purchase. It does NOT show on the receipt at check out. It took about 10-15 minutes for the email to come.

Yes, you can. You can add the eGift card to your Starbucks app and go in the store to purchase a physical gift card. This way you’ll also get a star for it as well.
