Just a heads up that P&G will be dumping 90 of their smallest brands. Company officials have not yet announced the brands. Head here for more details.
(Thanks, Becky, Fran, Amanda, Christina, Carol, Pooja, Coupons are my Currency!)
Re: Sam’s sample kiosk. My store had the Finish packs all last month. When I went this morning, I was able to get Tide Pods Free & Gentle samples!
Same here! Also my husband and I each scanned our cards (same account) and each got a sample.
I got an airwick scented oil unit (like a plugin) but not refill to go in it 🙁
Hmm, so what brands is P&G dumping? Trying to think as I run my mind thru a P&G insert…
From the link in the post: Company officials did not immediately identify the names of the brands being cut. Some will be sold to new owners, others will just be closed down.
You want to place a bet that it is all the stuff the majority of us use with coupons?! Lol, that would be my luck….
Yay–clearance! 😉
You can pretty much guarantee it won’t be anything you can use a coupon on. Crest, Bounty, Tide (3 of the most couponed items on here for example) are huge profit makers. The things they will cut you have likely never heard of or don’t even think of as P&G brands. A lot of non-American items will be cut (shampoo sold only in Europe for example). Regionally sold items will likely go too. As a whole it will effect the coupon community extremely minimally.
Anything in a coupon insert is highly unlikely to get cut.
Here’s a list of all the PG Brands. http://www.pg.com/en_US/brands/all_brands.shtml
I bet a lot of the products from companies that they shut down won’t go away, they’ll just become part of another, similar, PG product line. Always and Tampax, Nice and Easy and Natural Instincts, Crest, Scope and OralB.
I’m more upset that Kohl’s is going to stop accepting expired Kohl’s Cash!
Those are just the U.S. brands
I bet ANYTHING..the detergent ERA will be gone…its been cleranced out of a lot of store..sad, I LOVE ERA
