STEAM Day of Play Event at Walmart on July 27th | Kids Make Slime, Necklaces & More
Are the kids getting bored?
On July 27th, head into your local Walmart where they are hosting a STEAM Day of Play Event from 10AM to 4:30PM (local time). As part of this event, they will be offering fun STEAM activities for the kiddos like how to tie-dye, create slime, & make a cereal necklace.
To see if your store is participating, simply head here and enter your zip code!
Nothing happens when I type in the ZIP Code…??
Hmm, I still find stores near me to pop up when I enter my zip code. I’m wondering if it may not be available near you? Maybe try again in a different browser to see if it might work better for you. Hoping that helps!
Ok, thank you for your quick response..!! 👍
You’re very welcome! Glad to help!
Thanks found 4 stores
You are welcome, danielle!
For once they have it near me! Now my question is has anyone attended anything like this before? It says you learn how to make… doesn’t say they’d be actually making anything. 🤔
Hi Stef! I haven’t been to this event before, however my store is participating and they did share this event on their Facebook page. Maybe check to see if your store has their own Facebook page. Here are the details that I found listed in the event at my location –
“Gear up for Full STEAM Ahead! This family-friendly event is bringing you a day of engaging activities that parents and kids will love. Come visit us in-store to tie-dye your own shirt, make your own slime or cereal necklace. Let’s make the most of the last days of summer!”
Hope that helps!
I tried to find the answer to this but can’t seem to,
Are the supplies provided or will we have to buy them in order for the kids to make the project?
I don’t know why but I have a feeling that itll be free to learn how to do the projects but you would need to buy the supplies to actually make them.
I just went to a store in and nothing was here. Not to mention the managers were rude and disgraceful in front of my children. Horrible experience and I drive 30min
So sorry to hear that Constance!
