The way I look at it is this… I got a fabulous leather bag w/ a coupon last time Collin posted it. It’s a great quality so I know it will last me for YEARS if I take care of it. I paid $140 after my coupon. If it lasts me ten years (it’s a classic style) then that’s only $14 a year. 🙂 I also justify expensive jeans that look great with this method. 😉
I want a Coach Diaper Bag this time……with my first I went all “sensible” and had a Samsonite with a zillion pockets. With the second, I went cute and “romantic” and had a Vera Bradley. This time, my last, I’m getting what I want…..and that is a Coach Bag!!!! Gonna head over there soon…..Baby Jack is arriving in 25 days or less!!!

A few weeks ago I had a 20% coupon & got a great deal on a leather handbag for the winter season. $80 🙂 Happy happy joy joy!! It was on sale but on the 50% off rack so I got to deduct the 50% first and then the extra 20%. I had already purchased one for summer but saw that deal and couldn’t resist. DH was happy because my Christmas present from him was purchased 6 months early. No shopping for him to do in December.

I went today and they also had men’s wallet’s 50% off plus the 20% off. So I got him a nice Coach wallet for about $50 for Father’s Day.
They’re not as expensive as you think! I got mine with a $348 price tag for less than $150! That’s $200 off! It was on sale for $199 and I used my 30% off coupon. I also bought my sister’s birthday present to bring my total over $250. After 30% coupon total for 2 great bags was just $175.
I think its rare for the 30% coupons. Personally, this is my time to stock up not only for myself but as gifts for others. I get my sisters and mother & sister in laws birthday/christmas all at one time. Not only does it feel amazing to get them a nice gift, but it feels amazing knowing that I didn’t spend much. Last year I bought my sister in laws coach wristlets for Christmas. They were around $20 each. I used some of my couponing items (gum, chapstick etc) to fill them and had a really nice Xmas gift to give them that was done in August. It was one less thing for me to worry about!
I bought a purse that cost $348 for only 79.99+tax. It was on the clearance shelf marked at 199.99 and they were taking 50% off of that plus an extra 20% off, so 86 bucks for a nice coach purse that will last me a VERY long time is a great deal to me!
I’m getting tired of Coach because it seems like everyone around here has a knock off! There are little stands by the road all over the place selling fakes for $40. So I carry my gorgeous authentic Coach bag I got on clearance for $120 and everybody just thinks it’s fake anyway.
Lisa- well, I buy my bags for my own personal liking of them, not to keep up with the Jones’ so it doesn’t matter to me if people think it’s fake!
