Kohl’s.com: Slipper Socks (2 Pack) $4.79 Shipped + $10 Kohl’s Cash for $50 Order + Great Gift Idea
(Thanks for this adorable idea, Melissa! ๐ )
After reading through the comments on the Kohl’s Socks post yesterday, I noticed that several of you were interested in reader Melissa’s comment on how to turn these Chenille Slipper socks into cute Cupcake Sock Gifts. Thanks to Melissa, she sent over her pictures and easy instructions on how to create these inexpensive, but oh so adorable gifts!
For details on how to make these, check out what Melissa said…
“Hi Collin! Here are photos of the socks… the liner is just some really cute paper cut with a scalloped edged scissors and the socks are rolled up (here is a link to how to roll the socks: https://craftfairy.blogspot.com/2010/02/sock-cupcakes-this-time-with-tutorial.html ) and held with a rubber band. The pom pom is held with a little bit of tape. Enjoy! Happy creating!”
With that being said, if you’re looking for a creative Christmas gift idea for a teacher, friend, or family member, you may want to head on over here and snatch up a few pairs of comfy socks, and then follow Melissa’s instructions above to create your own Cupcake Socks gifts. Just use the new promo code MY20GYS to get an additional 20% off as well as the promo code XMASFREE to score FREE shipping! Your final cost will be just $4.79 (+ tax) shipped, so just $2.40 per pair!
Even sweeter, TODAY 12/6 and TOMORROW 12/7 only, for every $50 you spend in store, online, or at the Kohl’s Kiosk, you’ll earn $10 in Kohl’s Cash! These socks would make such a great basket filler or cute gift idea… and at a VERY “hip” price! ๐
(Thanks so much for the great idea, Melissa and for the new 20% off code, Wheel ‘n Deal Mama!)
Sucha cute idea!! THANKS!
That is adorable!!!!
Thanks for such a great gift idea!
Wow,That is really cute! Thank you.
THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!!! I love it!!! Simple, inexpensive; and I know a lot girls on my list that would think this was just so cute! If you have any girl preteens or teens you need to get something for I would recommend this. They can be tough, especially if they get expensive taste. But even for my sister who can be difficult with expensive taste, this would be good! Thank you so much for this idea!!!
I’m almost 50 & I’d like this:-). I love fuzzy socks!
My mother is 54 and would LOVE this! ๐
If you are looking for a young girl, my Walgreens had these same soft cozy socks for girls priced at a 3 pair pack for $6, so just $2 per pair. I would have bought them, but I am looking for women, but this would be a great way to use those RR or Jingle Cash.
super cute
Super cute! I love it and the price is right for gifts for my co-workers!
These were my favors at my baby shower but instead of using socks, the girls made them out of bold colored terry wash clothes.
I’m totally doing this tonight for my friend’s birthday tomorrow. She is the cupcake queen and bakes the best cupcakes. I already have the socks for her and am giving her a gift bag of spa stuff (lotion, shower gel, lip balm). She will love her cupcake socks. Thanks for posting!
Bath and body has had cupcake socks forever! Just $7.50
So cute! Thanks for posting. I got the socks yesterday for hubby’s co-worker and now I know what to do with them!
Too cute!!!
I made these a few years ago for all the ladies in my family and everyone (from 7 to 70!) absolutely loved them!
Do teachers really like receiving stuff like this? I always have the most difficult time coming up with something to give my daughter’s teachers.
If I was a teacher I’d probably rather have a gift card (maybe like a $5 starbucks or $10 walgreens?) but I don’t know anyone who would turn down some free comfy socks ๐
I am teacher and I would. Elementary teachers usually love creative stuff like this!
I would love it! Plus gift cards add up. This is less than a gift card and super cute. I love when students are creative like this (or their moms anyway :).
Is it $10 Kohl’s cash spending $50 before or after discounts? My subtotal is reaching $50 for what I want to spend, but after discounts, it takes it down to $43. Will I still get the Kohl’s cash, you think?
Also, there are $18 pet beds for $8.99! Super cute! Just FYI…
In my experience you will only get the Kohls cash if your total after discounts is $50.
Thank you.
Yup, your total must be $50 after all discounts have been applied :/
Also the tax can not be included, I learned all this the hard way.
I LOVE this idea! Thanks so much to Melissa for sharing it. Every year I try to find a creative, inexpensive idea for birthday gifts for my girlfriends. This year, I’ve been making cake pedestals using glass candlesticks from the Dollar Store and vintage china plates from thrift stores and estate sales. I think 2012’s gift is going to be these cute sock cupcakes!
These are WAY cute! Thanks for the pics! Love this idea!
Getting together with lots of extended family for Christmas Eve and I can’t afford gifts for all.
I think I’ll make a PLATE of these with socks for men, women, and kids. Then they can pick out what they want! HA!!!! That should be a hit with the women and kids…the men can at least get some white Hanes socks out of it. HA, HA.
That is a great idea!!
Fantastic idea! Thank you Melissa and Collin for sharing. It’ll be a great little gift for coworkers.
For those of you who are spending over $50 (therefore don’t need to use the free shipping code) you can use the 20% off code & RTMN10SL to get an extra 10% off sleepwear. The slipper socks will qualify. It’ll bring down the price to $5.39 when you get to the final check out step.
Also for those interested, the “Keurig Elite Coffee Brewer” originally $149.99 is showing up as $119.00 when you put it in your cart. Once the 20% off promo is applied it brings it down to $95.99. Throw some socks into your cart to bring your total to $100 and you’ll get $20.00 in Kohls Cash. What a deal!
thank you Krista! I got 12 pairs of socks for the same price as 11 with the extra coupons! I plan on making these for stocking stuffers for the adults in our family from my daughter who is a HUGE Pinkalicious fan!
You’re welcome ๐ I was just glad to be able to share a good deal.
That is adorable. There are so many ways you can use that…thank you for sharing!
KMart had the same socks for $1 per pair. what a cute idea…will have to try….
Thanks for sharing the photos and link Melissa! Love it!
YOUR WELCOME EVERYONE!!! I get so excited when I see a great idea…I love to share things like this!!!
I love this idea and got to thinking about the cherry on top. I just made my cupcake socks and instead of the red pom pom on the top I bought & rolled up a squeezable tube of cherry carmex chapstick…since it has the red top. I just hid the yellow tubing part inside the middle and only the red top shows…super cute & works out great since its cherry flavor!
the code for 20% off is now SECRETSANTA
Thank you for sharing the new code! I tried the other 2 that were listed, and both have expired.
I cannot figure out how to turn a piece of paper into the cupcake liner ๐ Can someone help please! I am not very crafty but I think this is adorable!
I checked a few craft blogs and I think I have it figured out!
Amanda,
Can you post the link that showed how to make the cupcake liner?
Here’s a link to a pdf for a cupcake liner: https://www.skiptomylou.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/CupcakeWrapper.pdf
I haven’t tried it yet myself, but I thought I’d save someone else some time by posting what I found here.
You are a dream! I was searching the internet for a pattern and thought maybe I should just come back and look at the comments and maybe someone posted a pattern and here it is…thank you so much!
Looks like the socks are $3.49 right now on-line! I went to the store today & they were $4.99 & then I used the 20% coupon which made them $4. This is a really good deal right now with the 20%. Makes them $2.80 or $1.40/pair!
Thanks for posting the link to the cupcake patterns. I came back here first bc I just knew one of you had thought the same thing!
Kmart has fuzzy/cozy socks on sale until tomorrow for 88ยข down from $3. I bought a bunch to make these for a Girl Scout Christmas party and teachers. Thanks for the cute idea!
