AWESOME! These are great for the school supply drive at work 🙂
Can you ad match these at Walmart where they aren’t any limits?
Does the fact that the picture shows pen caps of different colors mean we get different color pens? I would *love* that! Thanks for the heads up Collin!
I mean different color ink in the pens 🙂
yup 😀 I got them at walmart when they were free with the $1/1. The colors are sooo fun!
Thank you Collin! I am a teacher and free pens are like christmas, especially if they are colored ink!
I didn’t get this in the Sunday paper so thanks for the printable link! 🙂
staples has bic mechanical pencils for .25 cents. price match to walmart = moneymaker 😀
Thank you for posting this shelby, I was able to print a few more coupons and use the ones from the paper at walmart by price matching from staples.
I got 24 packages of the 5 ct mechanical pencils (these actually had a bonus pencil in them so they had 6) plus I got 10 of the paper folders which I price matched also for the 1 cents and so the total I paid with tax was only .51 cents.
most of this stuff will be going to help my sisters with there kids school supplies
Thank you for this link I did not get this in the paper and was searching all over the internet for them. You really are an angel and God Bless You . Helped us save a lot of money with back to school.
The in-ad you’re referring to comes out this week, right?
Doesnt staples have the Bic mechanical pencils this week for 25c?!! 😉 That would make a great deal!!!
Thanks Collin.
i just won a pen:).
Hello: 2 packs of pens at 0.49 = 0.98. My Walgreens will not accept a $1.00 coupon for this. Are they supposed to or is it up to the individual store. (Had this problem with the wet n wild nail polish earlier with the $1.00 coupon and 0.99 price.) Thank you
the key is to give the manufacturer’s coupon BEFORE the Walgreens coupon. The in-ad coupon essentially reduces the regular price to a sale price. So if you give the store coupon first, the register will think the pens cost $.49 each. Then when it scans the $1/2 coupon, it will beep because it is higher than the selling price. But if you give the $1/2 coupon first, the register will take $1 off the retail price (vs the in-ad coupon price).
For example…let’s say the pens are $.99 regular price.
Buy (2) pens @ $.99 = $1.98
Use $1/2 coupon
Price is now $.98
Use $.49 in-ad coupon …will take off $1 total (programmed to take off $.50 per pack because $.99-$.49 = $.50)
Pay $0 (store coupons can be more than selling price of item…they either give overage or self-adjust depending on registers)
Now if you switch the coupon order…
Buy (2) pens @ $.99 = $1.98
Use $.49 in-ad coupon …will take off $1 total (programmed to take off $.50 per pack because $.99-$.49 = $.50)
Price is now $.98
Use $1/2 coupon
Register will beep because manufacturer’s coupons can not exceed selling price
thank you. i will definately try this next time. some of the people at my walgreens are very hard to deal with when it comes to coupons!
so, how did people use the $1 coupon on the 0.99 (reg price) nail polish?
I handed them the manufacturer coupon before the Walgreens coupon and they still said it could not work.
per walgreens policy, they will accept a coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item(s). i would print it out and show it to the manager. the other way to help with this is to buy a cheap “filler” item that will eat up the couple of cents extra. hth
i went to staples today and used it on the mechanical pencils for .25 limit 4 i got it free thanks for the heads up
hi can i price match this at walmart even though its a coupon?
yep you can;)
Thank you, i was waiting for a response since yesterday :)!
I posted the question first day and I’m still waitin on a response so thanks! 🙂
Anyone know how to sign up for the: Target mailer? Much appreciated!!
