I have to be honest, I was a little disappointed in my recent Chili’s visit last week. I went with my friend and her 3 kids (1 teen, and 2 kids). My friend and I did the 2 for $20 that was in the menu, her son ordered a regular adult entree and we were expecting the 2 kids to be free. When I gave over the coupon for the 2 kids, the waiter and manager told me technically they should not be giving me the kids discount because i already had one special in my order. I asked her what was the sale special that I orderd, she said that the 2 for $20 counts as a special, so technically no coupons can be combined with that. Even though we had another adult entree ordered with the 2 for $20 as well. If something is in the regular menu, I don’t understand how it’s considered a special? I was frustrated that they gave me such a hard time.
Colin- would using both coupons be double-dipping since each say ‘not to be used with any other offers?’ I just don’t like to look like the cheapo guest that is trying to scam the restaurant. What do you think?
