    Speaking of printing…two things:
    1) Does anyone know how to make the coupons.com print in B&W instead of Color??
    2) Anyone know how to get ink and printer paper cheap? Seems like I’m spending an awful lot on those just to print out these Qs!

    • Laura

change your preferences to day2day and it will use a lot less ink….

      • Rebecca

        Where are the preferences?

    • fran

      Hi Rebecca,
Click start (bottom left of screen) > click control panel > click printer > right click your printer > click printing preferences > click print in grayscale (black ink only) > click apply > click ok. I do have to tell you, some coupons will still print in color, but it’s not much, at least on my computer.
As for cheap paper, Collin posts Staples, Office Depot and Office Max and there is often free paper after rebate.
Or you can do what I do. Whenever I get a piece of paper with any mail and it is black on the backside, I put in in my paper tray with the printed side up and my address facing out. This way, after I print one coupon, I shred the rest that has my address on it.
Any questions, ask away, I’ll check back.

I have a Mac…..any clue how to do that for Mac? I know how to change it when printing from a document or webpage, but it doesn’t seem to let me change the print from color to grayscale when printing from coupons.com…thought maybe it was an option in their printer app?

        • fran

          Sorry, no, I have a pc 🙁

    • lauren

Change your printing preferences on your default printer default printer to print in black ink only under the advanced settings. I was wasting a lot of ink on this too until I figured this out. Hope that helps 🙂

Is this under a certain zip code? It wasn’t there.

      Try 73019.

        Thankyou. Found it there 🙂

I have a question, what printer (including ink/toner) would be best to print coupons?
I have this old hp psc 1209 all-in-one printer, whenever I use new cartridge it prints really dark where the barcode doesn’t scan right most of the time, and if I do “Fast Draft” everything gets wiggly print (I aligned its setting already many times and still it does)… 🙁

Scored an AWESOME deal on these batteries @ Wal-mart! There were 4 packs of AA and AAA batteries and 2 packs of C, D, and 9V batteries up by the registers for $1.00. They weren’t labeled as “alkaline” BUT, the cashier scanned the coupons at the end of my purchase and they worked… Making each pack of batteris only $.25! *Note- the print limit for this coupon was 2, but I just scanned and copied one coupon on my printer and made LOTS of copies. What a great opportunity to stock up on batteries! How many times do we buy toys for Christmas gifts that require batteries?? These packs would be perfect for taping to the top of presents! 😀

scanned and copied? that’s illegal-please don’t ruin couponing for the rest of us!
      @Heather

OMG, I know!!! I feel horrible about having done that now! That was the first coupon I had ever printed off the internet. And that was BEFORE I knew any rules about print limits, copying coupons, and such. If it weren’t for this site I’d have never learned that that practice is a big no-no. I’m glad that was the only coupon I ever copied… I’d hate to have my printing privileges taken away! They need a BIG disclaimer in bold letters on coupons.com stating not to copy or reproduce coupons so newbie couponers (like I was) don’t make the same mistake I did. 🙂
