These look tasty! I was given a slow cooker as a wedding gift… almost 9 years ago… and have yet to use it. I keep seeing great recipes to use with it and I really need to unbox the thing and try them out! Thanks for the motivation 🙂
Love this! Looks super easy and delish! Thanks for sharing, I’m saving this one in bookmarks bc I know hubby will love it.
Quick question, did you use raw or pre-cooked chicken breasts?
Raw. You can do frozen as well.
Yes raw. Thanks!
I make this a lot. So easy and yummy! I leave out the butter and it still works fine 🙂
I was thinking of leaving out the butter. I’m making these tomorrow for Super Bowl and didn’t really want/need the extra calories! LOL! I’m glad you commented about it. Thanks!
Making this today for the Superbowl 🙂 going to make 2 coleslaws one with blue cheese and other with ranch dressing!! Excited to see how it comes out!!
Use coconut oil in place of butter, it will add flavor with less calories.
Kate, it would be raw chicken. That is WAY to long to cook if it was pre-cooked.
Found my Super Bowl party sliders!! Thanks!!
Great! Enjoy 🙂
Thanks, will try out this weekend, Orlando, fl.
I was wondering if maybe there was a way Collin could put all of Lina recipes in a category on the new Hip2save app( or is it there and I just can’t find it yet, lol)? I made the yummy eclair dessert last night and wished I could have has a little quicker way to go right to Lina’s recipes from the app. I know I sound whiny as Collin does so much already. I love the Hip2save app btw and Linas recipes. Yall keep up the good work!!
I agree Jennifer! I would love to have all the recipes in one spot on the Hip2save app as well. It would make it just a little bit easier 🙂
Great idea!! We will definitely see about adding this to the app. Thanks so much for the suggestion. 🙂
Use coconut oil in place of butter, it will add flavor with less calories.
I need a new slow cooker if anyone knows of a good deal.
Keep an eye out at your grocery stores, especially if you have a Kroger. Last January, I saw the round stainless steel one that I bought at Target before Christmas at Kroger marked down to $19. I paid only $15 at Target, but it is well worth a bit more despite the lack of bells and whistles. I am using it right now to make a knock-off Chipotle rice bowl dinner.
I agree with the above statement. I bought a very basic crockpot for $15. The crock pot brand. I absolutely love it. Aside my cast iron Dutch oven it is my most used kitchen appliance.
I got my programmable slow cooker for about $15 as well at Macy’s I think when they have their hot buys or whatever they call their sales they can be really cheap too! lol
I can give u one free if u live near Seminole county fl
You are sweet but I live in the Boston area.
Wow! That was nice 🙂
Too funny. I just made similar on Sunday. I used Honey BBQ sauce and no ranch. It fed my family of 3 for 4 meals! It goes well to eat the BBQ chicken on ciabatta rolls.
Did you post a recipe for chicken and green chilis ? I think it was enchiladas. I know it was on a blog but can’t find it now. Zesta50@aol.com thank you
I think I saw that on Totally Target??
Was it this one? (copy/paste link in a new window)
centercutcook.com/green-chicken-chile-enchiladas/
Totally Target has recipe posts too? I wonder so why coupon/shopping blogs are adding “food features” these days? I would think most people have specific sites where they go for recipe ideas.
What the ???!!!?????!!!
what kind of wing sauce?
Pictured is Frank’s Wing Sauce. You can use your favorite. We have used wing sauce from the chain Buffalo Wild Wings before 🙂 Thanks!
is wing sauce spicy?
It’s spicy. Most ppl use Franks Red Hot. These are really good- make them all the time.
Yes 🙂 but I think adding the coleslaw cools it down a little.
As a native Buffaloian..always..Franks..:)
I’ll drink to that!!! 🙂
thanks!! 🙂
Watch this on how to shread chicken fast! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=70km9jELTEA
wow!
I throw mine in my kitchen aid after I saw it at a cooking demo a few years ago!
Amazing! Thank you! I use freshly cooked chicken breasts for the hot wing dip I make. This will knock off so much time! I could kiss you! 🙂
Thank you so much for the alternative recipe for the packet of ranch dressing. Food issues for my son make it all but impossible for us to buy prepackaged items. Cannot wait to try it 🙂
You are welcome 🙂
Yes. I would like to make my own ranch. The recipe calls for dried buttermilk, I saw in the comments somewhere they have it at Walmart. In what section would I be able to find it in??? Help
There is a King Arthur flour brand and that’s in my baking aisle or with the cereals. Good luck!!
I’ve seen it in with the canned milks and in the flour section next to the yeast packets at different walmarts.
Do i just sprinkle the ranch dressing mix or do i have to make it ?
Just sprinkle for flavor. Thanks – Lina
I should have NOT looked at that picture before eating lunch. My stomach is growling big time. The recipe looks amazing, Lina!
Pinned! You had me at the letter S 😉
Looks amazing! Is that your own coleslaw recipe? I would love to have if you’re willing to share! 🙂
Hi Lara, no I just used the mix and added blue cheese dressing and fresh bleu cheese 🙂 simple since it just went on top of the buffalo chicken. Thanks!!
Made this for dinner last night. It was a huge hit with the kids. Thanks.
Oh great thanks for sharing!
Anyone know how long this should cook for non-frozen chicken?
how would i cook this if i dont have a crockpot??
I would just put it in the oven at a low temp (325?) and slow cook in there in a covered pan or oven safe pot. It would probably take only a couple hours and you’d need to keep an eye on it. You’ll know it’s done when it shreds easily 🙂 Thanks!
ok thanks Lina:)
Ok so I am cooking this right as we speak. After draining the liquid do I throw a stick of butter in the crockpot before the chicken is back in there? And do I stir? Thank you
Can you cook on high for half the time? I have a potluck at work but only have 3 hours to do this not 6
If the chicken is thawed, how long should it go in crock pot? Still 6-7 hours?
I featured one of your images in my blog post about game day food. If you would like me to take it down please let me know. Check it out at whirlwhim.com.
I just made this tonight and it was a hit for dinner. I grew across the border from Buffalo, so I wholeheartedly agree about Franks being the only one to use. I live in AZ so it’s nice to have a hot meal without turning on the oven or bbq-ing.
**..grew up across….
This is so good! And very easy!! Thanks for the great recipe!
Can this be mixed up and frozen to make at a later time?
Made this for the superbowl. Every time we have a potluck, I’m asked to bring it!!!! Everyone LOVE this!!!!
How many chicken breasts do you use for the pot luck? There will be about 30 people.
Can I cook on high for 3 hours?
Why did mine come out so salty?
Anyone cook it on high instead for less time? If so , how long?!
