I did a maybelline deal a couple weeks ago where you spend 12 get 4 and I spent 11.98 and it didn’t print so I called and CS said well it looks like you were .02 short but I will go ahead and push it through for you. So I’m not sure if this rule applies everywhere?
You might want to check the price of the 24ct Extra Strength Excedrin before you hit the register. I went in on Sunday to do a similar deal. My 24ct Extra Strength Excedrin rang up 2.99 in Waterford MI. So I had to go back and grab a few more to make the $20.00.
I am hearing reports on several blogs that the 98% rule doesn’t apply anymore. I also have experienced this.
The 98% rule still applies to the traditional spend $$, get $ back. HOWEVER, it does not apply to the “buy more and save” deals. The 98% rule will not apply to a deal where you spend $20, get $5 OR spend $30, get $10.
My deal was spend 12 get 4 no other options and I didn’t get it I called and she said I was a .02 short
Was this advertised anywhere? I went in the store today & there were no signs & I didn’t see it in the ad, so I didn’t grab it.
