Thank you!
You are welcome! 😀
We bottle feed now but I Breastfed our first 3 until they self weaned- I highly suggest reusable pads!!! The disposables were terrible and would stick. Reusables were soft and didn’t stick and I even kept mine in the fridge do they’d be cool and soothing for those tender days.
Omg, what a fabulous idea! I have three girls and a new baby boy… He’s a bit more vigorous (lol) when it comes to feeding, and popping those in the fridge sounds like the perfect fix! Excellent homeopathic remedy! Thanks!
Great for a baby shower gift basket.
This didn’t work for me – I put them in my cart and it asked or my city and state then said “thank you they’re on their way” – but it never allowed me to enter my address
If you close that screen. It should show up in the cart.
you need to go to your cart, then you can check out from there
I got a pair! Thanks! I use reusable sometimes at night because they are more comfortable, although I did have a non-diagnosed thrush issue when using them that went away with using disposable (I did wash them well and change frequently), and some of my reusable are not leakproof, but overall I like reusable and have never tried this brand!
Thrush is a nasty buggar! I switched to these when I dealt with thrush because the disposables trapped the air and moisture. Washing isn’t enough to kill yeast
, I learned the hard way, it is so dang resilient. I used a cup of vinegar and wash all pads, bras, tanks in HOT water with a cup of white on the prewash cycle, then washed with detergent in hot water, then dried in a hot dryer.
If you make lots of milk and have fast let-down, these are probably not the pads for you. I was one of those moms who could pump 8 oz. in the morning with a new baby with no problem. I leaked through the Bamboobies super fast, but I never had that problem with Lansinoh pads. I tried other resusable pads and had the same problem. They just couldn’t keep up with my body.
Isn’t it funny how different things work so differently for different folks. I fed a litter and still had some milk to freeze and the Lansinohs were awful for me! I mostly repurposed my reusable menstruatal pads at home but would use things like the bamboonies while out since they were more discreet.
That is my usual issue, leaking through. I have a big family and so have breastfed for probably about 8 years total on and off, and have kind of figured out how to avoid oversupply after the first weeks, but I still occasionally leak and need a pad that deals with it. Lansinoh has been my go to brand for most of those years (and I have several reusable brands I have tried, including the lilypadz) but this time around for some reason Lansinoh has been itchy and uncomfortable. I don’t know if they have done any changes, or if it was that I am more sensitive for some reason now. I did suspect I may have had a milk case of thrush (baby showed no signs in mouth, no one was able to diagnose it).
lol not milk case, I meant mild case
I agree…Lansinoh are the best. That’s all I used for my last two!
I have a quick question. Does anyone know if any of the disposable nursing pads contain Latex? I am allergic to Latex, and so far the only brand that I can handle is Lansinoh (as long as I change them as soon as they get wet). All of the other brands like Johnson and Johnson give me a rash, blisters or a burning/ itching sensation either as soon as I put them on or soon after. I thought about getting these reusable pads, but after reading some of the reviews of the moms with lots of milk and fast let downs I think I will pass. My husband and I have checked all the boxes of the disposable brands and none of them mention Latex, so I was just wondering.
Not sure about latex but I think the burning is reaction to the absorbant chemicals. I had the same issue. Avent Naturals (I could only find them at walmart) were the only ones that didnt make me burn but they are on the thick side.
Thanks Rae,
I didn’t even think about the chemicals in them. Something new to look at.
No problem. There are several brands that offer ‘natural’ options where they are made from things like wood pulp vs the chemicals. You could also look for reuseable nursing pads on ETSY as there may be some to fit your needs. I looked into the different ones but opted to make my own and I thought I would leak because of how much let down I had with my first but they worked out well.
I love these pads! I have some of the overnights and the regular ones. They are soft and work great for me. Gonna pick up some more freebies! Thanks Collin!!
I’ve tried all kinds of nursing pads and these were my favorite! They were recommended to me by my sister in law. SUPER soft, reusable…fantastic! I hated the crinkly uncomfortable disposable ones…and I tried ALL of them.
Alternatively, instead of wasting leaked milk, you can get a Milkies milksaver! 🙂
Used Milkies after my daughter was born and saved LOTS of breastmilk that would have otherwise gone to waste!
I purchased these at toys r us, these did not absorb well for me at all. I don’t have a strong let down or oversupply, I have just enough. I’m still nursing, I only use them for a couple of hours or else they will leak through, I only use these during the day too, both nights I forgot to take them out and put another brand on and they wet right through my shirt. I do like them because they are very soft, I just wish they had a better absorbency.
If you’re looking for a good price on multiple pairs check etsy. I have these https://www.etsy.com/listing/111278507/waterproof-washable-reusable-cloth?ref=sr_gallery_77&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery
They work great and are $2.70 a pair when you factor in shipping. I only wear them around the house and at night though because they aren’t as discrete as disposables.
I used disposibles with my first and hated them because the burned! The only brand that didnt was Avent Naturals but they were thick and had to be replaced often because they didnt absorb much. This time I learned to sew. If you are craft savy there are patterns an materials to use to make your own. It was really easy! They are just as thin as lansinoh and washable. I dont have an issue with them being noticeable and frankly I wouldnt care if they were its better than leaking on myself. You do need to change them often if you are having a lot of let down.
Also something I figured out this time around is when the baby nurses on one side and the other desides to have let down too counter pressure will stop the leak before it starts!
Love these! I could never go back to my fav disposables, Lansinoh, after trying these. They are discreet and never felt wet in my skin when I leaked.
And thanks for featuring something for nursing moms, Colin!
Awesome thanks for posting !
Are these reusable?
Does anyone know if these will stick to your bra in any way? I have tried a different brand if reusable nursing pads and I didn’t like how they didn’t stick and often fell out of my bra. That is why I now use disposable Lansinoh pads. But I love the idea if reusable pads!!!
No typically the reuseable ones wont stick. Lilypads are silicone and stick to the skin but you can wash and reuse them for a month or so. They work differently than other nursing pads as they are not absorbant the web site explains how they work.
