Re: The Cosmetic Coupon from the coupon center machine. There was a comment on Sunday’s posting and I went to CVS on Sunday and bought shampoo and hand soap was told told neither were “cosmetics”. I remember someone posted the “first four aisles count as cosmetics” including hair care but the clerk refused to use the coupon. I emailed CVS asking what was considered a cosmetic item (for future reference) and was told me ” I had bought items that did not qualify” but didn’t answer the question. I replied again asking the same question and was told then what was qualified as a “Beauty Club” purchase. Now I was frustrated so I called and the CVS person did not know the answer but she searched on the CVS site using “cosmetic” and she told me that was my answer. Does this sound right?
I am not sure about the reply you are talking about, but the coupon will only work on makeup items (foundation, blush, nail polish etc), not skin care or hair care. Maybe that person’s store is set up differently? I know the FDA considers skin, hair & body care to be “cosmetic” but drug stores do not. They classify it all as “beauty”, then subdivide into categories of makeup, skincare, hair care.
Those all count towards CVS Beauty Club, but getting back to the coupon, cosmetics will only include makeup & nail polish. Hope this helps.
I think the reference or the context is important here. For the sake of 5/15$ MM coupon only lipstick blush face powder and nail polish kind of stuff are considered cosmetics.
But, that being said, purchase of shampoo and conditioner ur even body lotions are tracker towards beauty buck purchase.
The 1 st 4 isles being cosmetic, is not true the purchase of these items count towards beauty bucks. Hth
