99 Cents Only Store: One Reader’s Haul of Organic Yogurt, Bread, Granola Bars & More
Do you live near a 99 Cents Only store? Check out this email and picture from reader, Vivian…
Does anyone ever email you about 99 Cents Only stores?! I went in for batteries and ended up leaving with the most amazing haul! I got Stonyfield organic yogurt squeezer and pouch packs, Kashi organic granola bars, Keebler cookies, Home Pride bread, Skippy Peanut Butter, asparagus spears and more! I also noticed a bunch of Earthbound Farms organic lettuce, lots of other produce and berries, half gallon Minute Maid juices, Sara Lee breads and buns, and Minions and Frozen themed party supplies! I love shopping there and although each store varies, it’s definitely worth checking out especially for all the organic items!!!
Yay! Love that store! For anyone wondering, the yogurt expires mid March, I’m going to freeze the tubes anyways!
Why yes I was wondering. Thanks!
And I completely forgot about freezing the tubes. I’ve heard of freezing them to put in a lunch box, etc but never thought about it for long term. My little guy loves them.
I don’t normally freeze them, but I’ve seen yoplait commercials that state you can and the box says you can lol… Anything to preserve the life so I could stock up since I love Stonyfield!
Although the box says you can freeze them it says freezing them does not extend the expiration date 😟
I froze them before and used them up to 6 months after the expiration with no problems
We freeze ours and use past the expiration date with no issues. My kids will only eat them frozen. Wish I had one of these stores nearby!
Sweet! 😉
Never heard of 99 cent stores. Where are they at?
Wow- I live close to one but I’ve never checked it out before. Thanks for posting- will stop by soon !
Awesome! You’re welcome Lily!
Which 99c store is this? We only have Dollar Tree and Family Dollar & no refrigerated items in either store. Great haul BTW 😉
99 Cents Store is a completely different chain from Dollar Tree & Family Dollar. Wish we had one where I live. My friend has one and she’s always telling me about her great finds.
although 99cents store is a different chain, the Dollar Trees where i live do have a refrigerated section. i have gotten really yummy appetizers there, and also get string cheese and some other lunch box items there.
I go to ours sporadically. I got the skippy you posted about last week! Great deal! I’ve also gotten rice Krispy treats, full boxes of slim fast bars, and lots of other name brand items. It’s hit or miss. If you loved something and go back the next week they might not have it. Check expiration dates.
Such great finds! Thanks for your feedback!
Love 99 cents only. I recently found Jack Links turkey jerkey there which is usually at least $5-7 per bag, I stocked up!! Also great for first aid items and even pregnancy tests!
I bought turkey jerky from the dollar store once and it was all moldy when I opened it up!
@ Laurel – Yuck!! 🙁 Mine was still perfectly good and didn’t expire until 2017. I guess YMMV
I found the turkey Jerky and hubby got 20 of them…all good.
Oh cool!
I love this store! I stock up on snacks for my kids lunches. I find big boxes of Betty Crocker and kelloggs fruit snacks, Quaker and kashi granola big boxes too. Their milk is also less than anywhere else in my town at $2.59.
Sweet finds Carol!
Holy heck! Wish they had stores around here. That’s impressive.
I miss 99 cents only!!! We dont have any in nj! But they are awesome!
Just got TONS of Kashi (organic variety) and regular Kashi Granola bars. Boxes of Cascadian Farms Organic Ancient Oats cereal, Barbaras cereal, and of course Plum Organic baby pouches (2/.99), and 1 serving bottles of NAKED juice. It is amazing all the organic options. I always buy way to much cause I am so stoked by all the ORGANIC deals. I love that I can feed my family all the “processed” food being organic for super cheap….
So jealous of the cheap baby food pouches!! Never heard of this store before. Not in PA!
Do you have a Big Lots in PA? In Ohio, they often have sales on baby food jars and pouches. I stocked up when the organic pouches were .33/ea.
Yes! Big lots has TONS of organic foods particularly for Babies and toddlers. Get pouches there all the time and really stock up when the do the 20% off the entire store.
Serving AZ, CA, NV and TX only
LOVE the 99 Cent Store! Was just there last night and found some great deals, some of which are mentioned above. I usually try to shop there before I go to the grocery store, because I find I can score lots of produce, frozen items, some meats, etc. that I would pay 4X as much at Vons! Then I just pick up whatever I couldnt find there at the actual grocery store. 😉
That’s awesome!
I did a video on some of my 99 cent only store finds. Love that store!

yes, I love getting fresh produce from 99 cents store. Of course, some days you will find no good choices, because there are other people who already raided the shelves. But do not get discouraged. Once in a while, you can find amazing deals. Once, they had potatoes 4 bags for $1! I got two 3 lb bags of red potatoes and two 5 lb bags of regular, all for only ONE dollar! Another good find was a big bag of lemons, seedless grapes, 5 bell peppers for a buck, etc.
Yes, yes, and yes! I honestly do most of my grocery shopping at the .99c only stores. I stock up on organics! I Come out with such a high. No fuss with coupons and better deals to boot! I’ve bought all the items above, besides the tubes those must be new this week. Check which day trucks come in as inventory can go fast. I’ve gotten 6 packs of v8 energy for.. Yep that’s right 99c. My hubby’s like, how do you spend $50 at the 99 cent store haha because they have AMAZING healthy groceries! Be sure of check the baby and chip isle as they often have organics, as well 🙂 seriously my all time fav store. Newmans own bread, party supplies, coffee k cups 4 pack, organic beans, 2 pack scotch tape, chocolate, they often have glutino products, sigh, I could go on 😍
I should mention my all time favorite haul were boxes of Nancy’s mini appetizers sold at Costco for $13!!! I think they were going to be discontinued or something. Also I once found 16oz bags of Kraft shredded cheese. These finds were years ago!
Cool!
I love this store too! Sometimes they carry really good stuffs. I bought al lot of Oneida serving spoons and forks at 99 cents only stores. I also got some tea and coffee spoons. It was awhile back but I if you go a lot, you might find some super great deals! I also like to get my Heinz ketchup over there because they carry the one made with real sugar ( instead of high fructose corn syrup ) and no MSG. They do have a lot of “natural” products like jams with real sugar and no preservatives.
If you really want to explore a 99 cents only store, check out the one on Rainbow Blvd. between Tropicana Blvd, and Sahara Blvd. in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their food and fresh produce section is larger than many supermarkets, and their food is fresh due to the quick turnover. I’ve heard that tourists as well as locals shop there. It’s in the Wal-Mart shopping center, across from the post office.
Wow…I have a .99 store just a couple of miles from me. I’ll have to check it out!
Yay!
Wow! This store seriously needs to make its way to the northeast! 😀 Awesome finds!
Awesome Haul! 🙂 Does anyone know if the 99 cent store accepts coupons? I would love to know! 🙂
Unfortunately, 99 cent only stores do not take coupons. But on the up side, this means you don’t have to prep so much before going in! I shop mine every Saturday morning when they get a new shipment. I’ve had some great finds over the years, from Nature Valley granola bars (60 pack!), 12 packs of Yoplait yogurt and lots of organic and gluten free items. I keep picking up those little Skippy PB packs since they are way less than an actual jar of PB and you get more.
My 99¢ store sends out flyers with coupons. If you buy three of the same item, they take a dollar off.
Definitely check it out if you have one near you! My recent finds have been Simply facial products (large bottle with a 7 pack of facial wipes) Fiber One cereal, Earthbound salads, Fruit Loop letters fruit snacks (10 pack) Lipton berry tea k cups, Cobblestone bread…….seriously great deals. Check frequently if you can as they receive new shipments often. There’s always something new there!
On Find & Save too:) miss living out west
Omgosh the produce is amazing. Thanks wish we had that store.
I have found great items at the one I go to. Bear Naked bars and bags of granola. Three in a pack potobello mushrooms. Whole heads of cauliflower. They sell a four pack of artisan lettuces that make the best salad. Ghirardelli white chips. I recently found Nestlé cherry cordial chips…..these are delish! ORida fries. Aunt Hatties onion rolls. I stock up on those and freeze, all bread has short expiration. Goody 30 pack hair bands with bonus bobbie pins. This week I found 4 pack Jumping Beans toddler socks. Sally Hansen salon manicure polish, gel a trips etc etc. I
When I saw picture I immediately knew it was 99 Cents Only store. LOL! I was there today and bought 3 boxes of Cheerios 1 lb. box. They were originally packaged as two boxes but they separated the boxes. Also bought Morning Star Southwest Sunrise 4 pk sandwich and Butterball turkey sausage links. Sometimes they have organic containers of lettuce but lately they haven’t been stocking them.
Cant. Believe hot 9 itemsfor 99 cents valentine stuff
Dont know how i got that emailname int china …..most of the time they have 6 items for 99
Was inspired to visit the store after this post- Got some Maui&Sons coconut chips and Toblerone chocolate! Yum:)
Okay, there is a 99. store in Ohio but it is NOT this one. It’s in a sketchy part of town so I’ve never been and I’m sure of the quality. Maybe one day we’ll check it out – before 11am and with someone else. We do have cheap produce when Meijer has their $10/11 sale…we have one coming up this week coming up! It looks like your readers are getting GREAT deals at the .99 store!! 🙂
I LOVE this store. Some posters are getting confused by general 99 cents stores. The store name is “99 Cents Only” in green and purple lettering. Its a specific chain in some western states. It is great and they do carry large organic produce and regular produce. I’ve gotten lots of plum organic pouches for 25-50 cents each. They also have good refrigerated items as well. One of the best things they do is after a holiday they mark holiday related items down: ‘buy one get one free’ then ‘four for a dollar’ then TEN for a dollar. So much christmas crafts, wrapping paper, bows, labels etc were 10 cents each! They supplers and buyers are much better than dollar tree and smaller 99 cents stores. They are a medium sized company so they can buy big lots of product for all their stores like name brand makeup and hair color (think they acquire the closeouts from Walmart and drugstores as I have spotted their tags on some items). The only 99 cents store to rival this is JACKS 99Cents in NYC. That place is amazing!!!
Yep, they are based out of Katy, TX and serve the TX and the southwest. If you drive down i10 out of Houston you see their row of giant warehouses.
That’s funny that you mention that because I’m passing the warehouse right now on my way home. I love this store & we only have them in the Houston area. The DFW area ones all closed I believe. The Tx warehouse is out here but they are based in Cali.
Meant to say, some DFW ones closed – not all. Was happy when we moved back to HOU area because of this store. 😍😍

here is their website to see if one in near you https://99only.com/
I went to the one near me this morning and didn’t see much I wanted. There was no organic stuff, and a lot if the items weren’t even .99 (like the Ore Ida fries they had), which is odd considering the name of the store. And a lot of the items were more expensive than I can get on sale or with a coupon at other stores. Oh well, it was worth checking out. And I may stop in another day and see what they have (I know these places can be hit or miss…)
I have a couple 99 cent only stores near me, one of them is brand new and just opened a few months ago. It has more of a refrigerated section, so I always find earthbound lettuce there for salads. My husband thought I was crazy at first, but now he knows that on certain days (when the shipment comes in) that I will be there and always find awesome items for lunches and dinner. It pays to ask what day shipments get delivered to the store.
I did lots of my Christmas shopping here this year. Only for my daughter though. Our store has a big section of toys like Fisher Price, Barbie, My Little Pony Equestria Girls, magic sand, Monster High dolls, Crayola, pretty much most things that are seen on tv infomercials. We had a ton of Star Wars stuff this year, full size pillow pets, the stuffed pillow pets that strap onto the seat belt, name brand makeup, and tons of organic foods. Mine even has all natural medicines.
Our store gets truck on Tues. Thurs. and Sat. Check with your store and go those days. I buy almost all of my produce there, yesterday, 10#s red potatoes for 99 cents. If it is an item I use a lot of (produce) then I buy extra like lemons, always use fresh now. Yesterday Oscar Mayer Selects Naturals turkey Brest 8 oz. bought lots and froze them, I have gotten 1# tubs of sliced turkey for…yes… 99 cents. I got the frozen Morning Star breakfast sandwiches. I get 1# bags of frozen Edamame pods. When they get in new bananas, they bag up the ripe one and you get a huge bag for 99 cents, then I freeze them and use them for Nice Cream. My best advice is to go in the days they get truck and scope out the areas in the store, then look at the end caps, they often put extra items that they just got in and won’t be continued on those so you know to stock up NOW, that’s where I found the Turkey Jerky. There are prices that are higher like 1.99 or 2.99 for larger items that they may carry all the time like TP and water. I very rarely go to the conventional grocery stores anymore since the one that used to double coupons in my area stopped and or sold to other chains and raised prices and coupons either being nonexistent or not my price.
Thanks for posting this!! I had never been to the .99 cents store before and decided to check it out after reading this post! I was able to get the Kashi organic granola bars, 15 ounce packs of Oreo’s, Earths Best organic sesame street crackers and Synders 8 ct individual bags of pretzels! Thanks again for sharing! I will definitely be going back soon!
Earths best crackers! That’s so awesome!!!
