I spend $20 week for starbucks and mcdonald mochas. Thinking this is well worth it. Anyone have this product?
Julie I just read the reviews from actual purchasers. Seems like it’s a mixed bag. Some folks have problems with their unit and had to return it. Buyer beware and I’d recommend that you read the reviews as well to make an informed decision.
We do not have this a someday will buys espresso machine. Until then we have a aeropress and have used it for a year now. It’s a handheld espresso plunger type thing. It doesn’t give as good pressure as an actual espresso machine but for $25 it has definitely been well worth it. We used to spend $4.50 a piece on lattes and my husband was getting them daily. Now we make them at home and spend $5 for a bag of espresso beans that last us 1.5-2 weeks. I personally haven’t looked at the reviews for this machine but I know the aeropress always gets great reviews and we love ours!
I bought one and it only has a 90day warranty and wouldn’t you know. It broke at day 91. I would not recommend this or any other buydig products
Thanks for feedback, I was on fence, going to skip
So sorry to hear that it stopped working for you! 🙁 Thanks for your honest feedback Jules!
Wow! What terrible luck!
We purchased this the last time it was on here. We had to return the first one because the water holder was broken. Buydig was very quick in making an exchange and we have not had any issues with one and we use it multiple times a day, everyday.
Glad to hear you were able to score a replacement Kate! Thanks for sharing!
This is not a comment about the product. I have had this product for a few years and haven’t had any issues with it what so ever. I do however cannot figure out how to make a good cappuccino. The coffee I can’t get the espresso shot to taste good which is all my error. Can anyone tell me their secrets because I am apparently not a good barista?
Always helpful YouTube
1. Buy freshly roasted coffee. Coffee is only good for at most 3 weeks after roasting. You will not find freshly roasted coffee at a grocery store, Target, Walmart, etc. Buy from a local coffee shop that roasts their own beans. Or you could even roast your own at home. My hubby and I just started to roast our own beans. For right we are roasting in a skillet. It’s way cheaper and OMG is it soooo much better!!! If you are interested in doing that, again, check out YouTube.
2. Espresso must be made with a fine grind, but not powder! It needs to be like table salt in consistency. Powder = bitter/over extraction
Any grind larger than table salt=under extraction/weak
Use a conical burr grinder for best results.
3. Make sure everything is warm; the portafilter, basket, espresso shot glasses
4. Extraction time should only be about 20 seconds.
There is so much more to coffee and its brewing methods than what I just gave you. It really is an art. Hopefully these tid bits help. 😊
FYI: this company has horrible reviews
Google it before buying
