There’s no video. It’s $15 a month for monitoring, where they will call the police if your alarm is triggered, but you don’t have to do that.

We have been using them for 3 years now and they are reliable. I purchased the camera two months ago. You may choose to pay 5 dollars every month for the video monitoring per camera on top of the 14.99 monthly charge. No contract- it’s great.. I have also Xfinity home alarm system and I have been very unhappy of the service. My contract is ending soon and no plans to renew.
Are the cameras expensive? I was thinking about getting an Arlo security system.

Visa Checkout is still available through 2/22/17 so $25 off $100 purchase. Ebates 1%. Also on best buy website, if you purchase $200 e-gift card, you get a $20 savings code. Not sure if you’ll get the Visa Checkout if you use the $200 e-giftcard. You might have to add an extra battery to put you over the $100 visa check out requirement.

Have the system. Love it! You install it yourself. It is totally portable. If you move you can take it with you. Or if you live in an apartment and your landlord doesn’t provide a system, you can take care of it yourself.

I’ve been using Simplisafe for over 4 years. This grandma installed and set it up herself. You do not have to have monthly monitoring after you purchase the system, but I do. It’s easy to set up, use and it was great to be able to check the status of my home while I was away on vacation.
