– I bought the twin size just a week ago. Tonight has been my second night sleeping on it and I LOVE it! I didn’t experience any kind of odors with mine except for when I first opened it up, but those dissipated pretty quickly! (But I am also using a mattress protector). I definitely recommend it if you’re on the fence about it!

Hey Melissa! For both beds I have them sitting on top of the box springs that we already had. They absolutely do not need box springs and are fine for platform frames, but we were lazy and didn’t want to deal with hauling the box springs away! 😁

How firm are these? I read reviews & am even more confused now lol.
Hi Rebecca! It’s hard to describe, they are firm but soft at the same time – I guess the best way to describe is that you don’t sink into it, but it’s super comfortable at the same time.

We bought a 12inch king size Zinus a few weeks ago and so far we love it! The mattress is firm enough that we don’t sink into it ( we are big people 🙂), but not so firm that it is hard. It did take a few nights to adjust to sleeping on a memory foam mattress. We like this one so much more than the other very popular brand mattresses we have purchased in the past and paid $1000s for.

Does anyone know if this mattress sleeps hot?
Is it worth it to get the gel version? It claims to not get so hot.
Ours mattress is not hot. We put it in a zippered allergen case and have a waterproof mattress pad over top of that . My husband is always hot ( the -15 degree temperatures we get in the winter do not bother him). He is very comfortable on this mattress .
I’ve read enough reviews of the opposite that I’d be wary of it. I actually ended up ordering 12″ gel version for $159. Won’t ship for a couple months but we don’t need it until then so works for us & great price.

We just bought twin beds at IKEA (Malm bed) for our twins and are looking for mattresses. I just looked at these today. Has anyone tried them with an IKEA bed and slats~I’m wondering if I should get a 6″ or 8″ mattress?
