Will the price go lower closet towards Christmas?

    • Jenny

      Closer*

Not with Kidkraft stuff. I paid $100 for this set in white before Christmas. We love it. Sturdy, long lasting, attractive, and frequently played with!

We bought the expresso kitchen for our girls (ages 7 & 2) last Christmas. It is an awesome kitchen! Made well, much better than the Little Tikes or Step 2 Kitchen we had in the past. We were looking for something big enough for the two girls to play with together but also tall enough so my 7 year old still could get some use out of it. Would highly recommend!

Why do you like the KidKraft over Step 2? I have been looking for a play kitchen for my twins – 18 months – and have been leaning more towards Step 2 because of it being plastic. Thanks!

      • Erin

The wood looks nice, it doesn’t fade, and it is stable and won’t tip. I’m not a fan of plastic generallyso I wouldn’t want it in my living areas.

Thanks for the awesome review Krissy! Good to know what great quality this kitchen is!

I do think the Step 2/Little Tikes are made well. I think they are well suited for younger children. I was looking for something that would still suit my tall 7 year old. Here are some of the +’s I see with the KidKraft:
    1. It’s one of the tallest kitchens they make ( My 7 year old is quite tall ).
    2. Very realistic, looks like a piece of furmiture
    3. Very heavy, would topple oven like some of the other kitchens
    4. The space inside oven, microwaves, refrigerator is bigger and provides more storage for dishes and food
    5. I wanted this to be the last kitchen we would buy and would withstand my 2 girls. They play with it daily and it still looks brand new.
    6. No annoying decal to put on!

    Hope this helps!

      Thanks for the awesome feedback!

I love the espresso kidkraft kitchen. It looks sleek. I got it for my son because it’s unisex. I got mine for around $85 from target around the holidays. I think it was when they had their 30% off toys day closer to Black Friday. And it was already on sale. I think it will definitely go down in price closer to the holidays.

Fair warning, you’ll see in the reviews that people complain about how long assembly took. Those people are spot on lol. We bought this for Christmas 2 yrs ago. Yes, it’s a super sturdy well made toy. Yes, my kids love it and it looks adorable in their play room. It also took my hubby 3.5 hrs on Christmas Eve to put together!!!! So maybe plan ahead and assemble/hide sooner if it’s a Christmas gift!

    • Erin

Hmmm. We have the same one but white. I don’t remember it taking that long. I’ll have to ask my husband. I think maybe using a drill on the screws sped things along. I imagine using a screwdriver could be awfully tedious, since there are lots of screws!

    • Shane

We got the pink one last Christmas and yes it took like 4 hours with drill. There are just a million tiny pieces and screws to put together. Once built it is super solid though

We love our kidcraft kitchen its sturdy and kids are always attracted to it . My girls still play with theirs

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Good to know how much they have enjoyed it and how well it has held up May! Thanks for sharing!

  7. Susie

THANK YOU! 1 Christmas wish fulfilled! ❤

Happy to hear that Susie! You’re SO welcome!
