A friend and I went to the BOGO 75% off sale DG just had on Nov 3-5th. We waited until Saturday and combined the sale with the DG $5 off $25 coupon and each got over $300 worth for just over 50% off total retail. 4 $10 items gets you to $25 – the $5 off $25 coupon = $20 for 4 items or $5 each + tax. 8 $5 items gets you to $25 – $5 off $25 coupon = $20 for 8 items or $2.50 each + tax. 40 $1 items gets you to $25 – $5 off $25 coupon = $20 for 40 items or $0.50 each + tax. The $25 mystery egg toys, $30 dump trucks, and $10 Guess Who board games, among many other things are also included.
A lot of good quality toys available, but also some of the known “cheaply made” quality as well.
The $1 items, especially the little cupcake with sprinkles looking putty/slime are great for stocking stuffers, birthday “treats” for school, donation gifts etc.
The sale is worth checking out for sure!
How cool! Thanks for taking the time to share your score with us! SO glad you could grab a bunch of great items for cheap! 🥰💖
Were you able to get matchbox cars? We are purchasing items for children who don’t get on any charity list. We already have playdough, cookie cutters, crayons and coloring books. We thought cars would be a good addition.
Not the name brand ones but there are $1 off brand indivdual cars and $3 off brand sets.
I went tonight, since they were still doing the Thanksgiving toy sale. Today was the day that the Thanksgiving sale combined with the $5 off $25. 12 toys, for $22.50 + tax. Funny thing. Yesterday, I went to another location and it was like they had no intention of doing that BOGO 75% off sale. Half of the toy aisle was parking for big carts of boxes. Every inch of the rest of the aisle was covered with stuff all over the floor… and it wasn’t all toys. Dollar General is one strange store.
I’ve gotten good deals on clothing for 70% off in years past, but doesn’t look like they are doing it this year. It’s one of my favorite deals.
I wanted to get that $5 mini chopper appliance. But… never seemed to get out of the house, on Thanksgiving. At 8:30 pm, I had a “D’oh!” moment, realizing that I could order it online, for in-store pickup.
Yay!!🎉 So happy you could snag the mini chopper, Paul!!!
