Best Buy: FREE $10 Savings Code w/ $10 Purchase & Free In-Store Pickup
Doing some online shopping on BestBuy.com?
Through December 16th, Best Buy is offering up a FREE $10 Savings Code on select purchases of $10 or more when you opt for free in-store pickup! Note, there is a limit of 3 qualified transactions ($30 in savings codes) and a limit of 1 savings code per customer per transaction.
Savings codes will be e-mailed starting on 1/14/18 and can be redeemed online or in store through 2/3/18. Head here for all the details and exclusions.
How do you know if you qualify to receive the code?
Note that you will not see your $10 savings code during checkout but it appears that as long as your purchase isn’t on the list of excluded items, and you opt for free in-store pickup, you’ll receive the savings code! It should be emailed to you starting on 1/14/18.
Excluded items include: Bose, Boston Acoustics, Breville, Electrolux, Google, Leap, Sonos, and Wacom. In addition, select televisions, sound bars and Blu-ray players from Samsung, Sony and LG, the Dyson Supersonic, select projectors, select Beats by Dr. Dre, and select headphones and portable speakers by Sony are excluded from the offer.
Can’t beat that.
Great! More Christmas shopping here I come!
Yay!
Should it mention that you’ve qualified for the offer during checkout? I’m not seeing anything. Purchasing a CD for $11.99.
It says it excludes music
music should be allowed since it isnt listed here…
Excluded items include: Bose, Boston Acoustics, Breville, Electrolux, Google, Leap, Sonos, and Wacom. In addition, select televisions, sound bars and Blu-ray players from Samsung, Sony and LG, the Dyson Supersonic, select projectors, select Beats by Dr. Dre, and select headphones and portable speakers by Sony are excluded from the offer.
It’s not good on DVD’s. Does anyone have any good ideas for $10?
Just wondering where you saw it excludes DVDs? I only saw select Blu Ray players were excluded. I was hoping to pick up some kids DVDs as stocking stuffers.
click her link above that states “list of excluded items” and its under the ship to store box HTH
This deal is not for ship to store. It’s for regular store pickup (in-stock items only). So those exclusions don’t apply.
Not what it says on their website:
Ship to Store
If the item you’re interested in is out of stock at your local Best Buy store, but is available online, Ship to Store can get it there — with free shipping. Excludes music, DVDs, video games and other select items.
I read it the way bellwalker reads it. If a dvd or cd IS available for pick up at your store then this ship to store verbiage wouldn’t apply. The music, DVDs, video games would only be excluded if they weren’t available at the store already and had to be shipped there.
Batteries?
again dvd’s i think are allowed since not listed here..
Excluded items include: Bose, Boston Acoustics, Breville, Electrolux, Google, Leap, Sonos, and Wacom. In addition, select televisions, sound bars and Blu-ray players from Samsung, Sony and LG, the Dyson Supersonic, select projectors, select Beats by Dr. Dre, and select headphones and portable speakers by Sony are excluded from the offer.
again cd’s and dvd’s should be ok since they are not listed here.
Any good $10 deals?
I would say batteries, k-cups, and generic cellphone accessories are a few good options.
This great! I need some records for my daughters new record player she is getting! I had 5 off 5 and spent that on a amazon dot already!
It excludes music…
i dont think it excludes music since that isnt listed..
This deal does not exclude music. The ship to store option excludes music but that is separate from this deal post. This deal only applies to items eligible for store pick-up which is different from ship to store.
Anyone know if a gift card works?
Needs to be store pickup item
You can do a store pick up third party gift cards, so I am wondering if they will work too
I’m thinking just that! Gift cards! I’ll do 3 separate transactions to get all at store pickup and get 3-$10 bonuses. I’ve picked up gift cards for in store p/u before and I see they are not excluded.
I wonder if K cup coffee pods would work…
…or batteries
Hi! K-Cups are not on the list of exclusions so as long as you order $10 worth or more, you should be able to score the savings code.
Can use free code to help with january birthdays since most people are broke then after christmas
No idea on what to buy and can’t think of anything i need 🙁
NO notification that you’ll get the code?
Savings codes will be e-mailed starting on 1/14/18 and can be redeemed online or in store through 2/3/18. Head here for all the details and exclusions.
How can you tell if your purchase qualifies for the savings code? Does the cart tell you it does?
Just tried to see , the cart doesn’t show you …
Has anyone found any item it works on?
If it works on batteries, especially Energizer, please post because there are rebate offers that may work too.
Ordered roku streaming stick- nothing happened yet. No indication of promo at all
Do video games count or dvds?
What do you call that thing you put in the back of your phone to watch something? That would be a good idea because that is $10.
A pop socket.
So you buy now and then get a code for $10 off next purchase?
I was wondering that too.
Savings codes will be e-mailed starting on 1/14/18 and can be redeemed online or in store through 2/3/18. Head here for all the details and exclusions.
Hi there! Yes, buy an item priced at $10 or more AND be sure to choose in-store pickup and you should receive a $10 savings code in your email as early as 1/14/18 that you can then use until 2/3/18. Hope that cleared things up a bit. 🙂
I tried to add several items to my cart but none appear to qualify.
Hi there! Note that you won’t see the savings code during checkout. Your $10 code will be emailed to you starting on 1/14/18. It may also be on your receipt when you pick up your items so be sure to hold on to that. Hope that helps! 🙂
I’m trying to order the Minecraft mini figures but I’m not seeing that offer anywhere
I wonder if legos are included.
Hi there! I do not see LEGOS on the list of exclusions so they should be included.
They told me it will be on the receipt when you pick up- not sure I believe it though
Well that’s a good deal! Thanks
Can you please explain this better? No one really seems to understand. It is not working on batteries as of now.
Hi Anna! You won’t actually see the $10 savings code during checkout but be sure to check your inbox starting 1/14/18 as that’s when Best Buy will start emailing out the codes.
Is this deal a $10/$20? TIA!!
Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking its like. Pay out of pocket now and get the coupon for another purchase later. Kinda like the VS reward card.
Hi Yolanda! This offer is for a $10 Best Buy savings code when you make a purchase of $10 or more now through 12/16 and opt for free store pickup. Hope that helps!
How does this work? Are you able to buy now or do you have to wait until January?
Hi Hailey! You would purchase an item priced at $10 or more now through 12/16 to receive your $10 savings code – which will be emailed starting on 1/14/18. Hope that helps!
Someone please help us! Lol! Seriously.
Hi Miranda! Be sure to grab an item that is no on the list of exclusions – “Bose, Boston Acoustics, Breville, Electrolux, Google, Leap, Sonos, and Wacom. In addition, select televisions, sound bars and Blu-ray players from Samsung, Sony and LG, the Dyson Supersonic, select projectors, select Beats by Dr. Dre, and select headphones and portable speakers by Sony are excluded from the offer.”

I THINK THIS IS SOMETHING YOU WONT SEE FOR A WHILE . I THINK THE ONE USER THAT COMMENTED IT WILL ARRIVE AFTER JANUARY IS RIGHT . THE CUSTOMER SERIVICE REPS DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.
That is correct. You will receive it via email starting on 1/14/18.
Does anybody have any codes I can use for this? I didn’t receive one. Pls send to my email kendrabali@yahoo.com
It’s not like that. Nobody has a code yet. You make a purchase and it will then be on your receipt to use in January.
If you go the the list of exclusions link, scroll to the bottom and the rules are explained.
This is confusing Hip2Save, can you please provide an explanation and deal example. I’m not the only one that does not understand
Thank you
Hi there! Sorry for any confusion. You will not find the offer listed at checkout, however you should receive the savings code as long as you do not purchase one of the excluded items – “Bose, Boston Acoustics, Breville, Electrolux, Google, Leap, Sonos, and Wacom. In addition, select televisions, sound bars and Blu-ray players from Samsung, Sony and LG, the Dyson Supersonic, select projectors, select Beats by Dr. Dre, and select headphones and portable speakers by Sony are excluded from the offer.” You email should arrive on 1/14/18. Hope that helps!
If you’re looking to buy a phone charge, I really recommend the Modal twist USB cables. They’re on clearance for $9.99-$13.99
Awesome going to best buy soon
I placed three orders for minecraft figures and legos, I didn’t see them on the exclusion list.
I’m putting them back for birthdays next year, so if I don’t get the rewards I’ll just return them in January.
Did you receive an email confirmation after placing your order? Does it say anything about the $10 code in the email ?
best buys return policy is about 7 days i think
It is longer over the holidays
What is the Best Buy holiday return and exchange policy?
Buy your gifts and other items this holiday with the peace of mind of easy returns. Almost every purchase made throughout November and December can be returned through January 15, 2018.
Purchases made between October 29–December 30, 2017 have an extended return period through January 14, 2018, excluding cell phones, devices that can be activated, AppleCare monthly plans, and Vivint products. All other terms and conditions of our Return & Exchange Promise apply.
My Best Buy® Elite and Elite Plus members have an extended holiday return/exchange window. Elite members have through January 29, 2018 to return or exchange products purchased between October 29 and December 30, 2017, while Elite Plus members can return or exchange purchases made in that timeframe through February 13, 2018. Previously mentioned exclusions apply. See Best Buy Returns for more information.
So is there any kind of confirmation after you place an order that you qualify? I placed an order and would like to place another but there wasn’t any mention of the offer in my confirmation email…
I get that the code doesn’t come till later but I want to know when I’m buying something that I got the code. I don’t like that it doesn’t like add it to your cart or say you’ll be getting this. You know?
I agree!
I’m sure i read elsewhere that once you pick up your order it should tell you on the receipt if you qualified for the code…
Does it work on clearance items? there is a couple of items I need to they are on clearance
Hi there! I do not see clearance as being excluded from this offer. Hope that helps!
Praying that this works. Ordered 3 orders of Energizer batteries (including clearance) so I will be returning if the codes don’t come.
Offer valid 12/3/17–12/16/17 on BestBuy.com orders with Store Pickup items totaling $10 or more (before taxes and shipping costs). Savings code(s) may be redeemed online or in store. Not valid if your order is canceled, your item(s) are returned, or on item(s) that are not available for Store Pickup. In addition, select televisions, sound bars and Blu-ray players from Samsung, Sony and LG, the Dyson Supersonic, select projectors, select Beats by Dr. Dre, and select headphones and portable speakers by Sony are excluded from the offer.
Does this mean I only need one transaction/purchase right now and get the code .. and then when I picked up/received the code I can use that same code 3x? .. still confused here..
Or, do I do three separate transactions now (worth $10) or more .. then receive 3 different codes during pick up ?
I don’t see where gift cards are excluded so I’m thinking of ordering some as they show “ship to store” option I believe?…
Energizer has a promotion that would make this a sweet deal, spend $15 on energizer batteries and get a $5 Visa card from them, then you get the $10 from Best Buy!
yes – I am going to go for this deal. Thinking the same thing – great stocky gift.
my question is – buy 3 separate goodies of $10 or more (batteries – energizer are a great idea there is a rebate) – receive 3 separate $10 savings codes. Can you then combine the savings codes upon receipt ? Cannot find anything on the site about this.
Off topic, but if anyone has a Shutterfly $ off coupon they are not using, I would greatly appreciate it!! Please email me tiphaniesizemore @ yahoo . Com
I have a $20 off $20. Let me know if you still need one. I’m not home right now.
Just sent it.

How about gift cards? Didn’t see it mentioned on the excluded list.
I am not finding those on the list of exclusions – “Bose, Boston Acoustics, Breville, Electrolux, Google, Leap, Sonos, and Wacom. In addition, select televisions, sound bars and Blu-ray players from Samsung, Sony and LG, the Dyson Supersonic, select projectors, select Beats by Dr. Dre, and select headphones and portable speakers by Sony are excluded from the offer.”
Can I get this deal on Lifx smart bulbs?
Good question…I want to use it on the Phillips hue lights too.
So the $10 savings code would be off of a $10 or more future purchase with your $10 or more purchase today? Is that a true statement?
Yeah, more Best Buy shopping money.
So if I’m reading this correctly, does that mean that the $10 PSN Network Card qualify for this offer? Or should I get the $20 Card to be sure?
Can someone/anyone confirm that they have purchased a $10+ item that is not excluded and have picked up in store AND most importantly actually sees something on the receipt stating $10 later? Seems to be alot of speculating and repeating over and over the details which we get allready. Unless someone can confirm there is a reference to the $10 later on the receipt then I am not biting. Didn’t Best Buy do something fishy last year? maybe it was a different store. Some sort of bait and switch.
