OVER 60 Sam’s Club Stores Are Closing
Sam’s Club Shoppers! Have you heard the news?
Business Insider just released an article claiming that 63 Sam’s Club stores will be closing their doors within the next few weeks. In fact, select stores in Georgia and Texas closed their doors TODAY without any warning. 😱
Of the Sam’s Club locations that are closing, about 50 will be going out of business for good and the remainder of the stores will be converted to distribution centers to help fulfill online purchases.
To see if your local Sam’s Club is among those that will be closing and for more information, head over here.
What do you think about this sudden announcement?
(Thanks, Deidra and Kristen!)
everyone should get together and boycott walmart and sam’s club for three days in a row and see how they like it.
I am one of the many employees that had their world turned upside down yesterday. I can tell you firsthand that we had no warning that this was happening. We simply showed up for work yesterday to find out that our store was closed. I think we deserved a little notice.
This is so unfortunate to hear, i cant even imagine the stress that this have put on you.
I renewed in October – wondering if I will be able to get some sort of refund for the 8 months I won’t be using my membership. To make matters worse, I gave “the gift of Sam’s Club Membership” to my Father and Step-Mom for Christmas – their store in FL is one of the ones closing!! I hope there is some sort of compensation that will be provided.
I don’t know the link, Google it, but they are offering a choice of three things. 1. 3 month extension on membership. 2. A refund check for your entire membership fee 3. An e gift card for your entire membership fee. I choose the check but it said it might take up to six weeks.
