I have been wanting one of these! Thanks! I saw the deal last week on the white one but liked this one better and it was more expensive. Now this one is a little cheaper than the white one was last week! Yay to me for waiting!!!! Thanks again!
You’re very welcome Heather! Super glad you were able to grab this deal!
I love the one from last week and I wish I could get another one of those. This one is a little smaller with only 8 hours. I definitely love mine!
Just wanted to give readers a “Heads up” on diffusers in general. I purchased this one from Amazon as a gift in November after seeing it posted here. The recipient loved it so much I went ahead and ordered 3 more, 2 for me, 1 for the gift closet. I also loved them. We had guests over recently, one of whom was a veterinarian. She was concerned about the diffusers, and told me they are health hazards for cats, and can cause life threatening problems. Apparently cats l cannot process the essential oils dispersed into the air. I was shocked, and worried since I have 2 cats. She said that citrus oils are especially dangerous. Lavender can be tolerated in small amounts. You can diffuse in a room and keep the door closed to your cat, and that would be ok. Cat owners should speak with their vets about using these before purchasing. BTW…the diffusers are wonderful, but my cats are everywhere in my house, so back they must go.
thank you for posting (imo) very useful information !! 🐱
I have to tell you, I am well-versed in essential oil usage, and make many of my own household cleaners and personal care products using them. I am well aware that many oils can be dangerous in certain circumstances. Never once did I read about any dangers to cats. I was totally shocked! I double checked with my vet and she confirmed. I feel like the diffusers should come with a warning…
Im glad u stumbled upon this to leave that warning. Ive always just rescued a pet without the secondary thoughts. I had an incident with my cat yrs ago that was nearly deadly. I vowed from that point forward to research in depth. Oils werent common at all at that time but shame on me for not researching newer dangers. Caspurr and Jaspurr thank you Mrs. G.
Thank you. I have been researching these with the full intent to get into the diffused game but thank goodness you posted this.
I live in a very small home with a very loved indoor only cat.
This cat lover thanks you for this information!! We have cats of our own and often foster others. Thanks again for the forewarning!!!!!!!!
Are they safe for dogs ?
I believe they are fine for dogs…
Just read an article where a lady left melalueca (tea tree) diffusing in her house with her dog. Made him sick. Confirmed with vet that it is toxic.
Also, birds cannot be around certain oils.
The promo code is not working anymore as of 6:20 pm EST. Just wanted to let you know. I am sad I missed this one!
Hi Jennifer! It does seem to still be working for me. It doesn’t work on the Coffee color though. Hope that helps!
I bought one at michaels craft store $39.99 reg price with a 50🤥% off email coupon which I paid 21. Dlrs gave one to my mom today
I’m really late to this but what are they good for? Is it just scents like candles? Where do you buy oils? Does it take specific oils? TIA 🙂
I love plant therapy oils and there is a lot of useful information about oils and diffusing on their blog and site and they also have live chat during business hours.
Vanessa,
I buy my oils from Young Living. They have to me the best oils. They aren’t a little oil with alot of other stuff in it. They are 100% pure oil, unless they say overwise. Like the kid’s line–they are diluted down to protect baby and toddlers skin. Plus they have a wonderful “seed to seal” in other words, they follow from seed all they way to the bottled oil often on their own farms where they is no pesticide sprays, etc… It’s sad that the government isn’t regulating all the companies popping up, that aren’t trying to protect customer. YL even has outside 3rd party testing on each batch of oil. Makes me feel confident in what I’m purchasing and that it’s safe for my family and our health.
Yea I’m not sure on this either Vanessa. You tube will probably have videos, usually a safe go to.
