The new BIG Towels are nothing like the old. I have a set right now that I purchased 5 years ago that are still holding up great! I thought I’d purchase more this fall and had terrible luck with the new ones. The 1st new set I purchased left a terrible mess in my washer – strings & tons of fuzz. I decided to return them and get another set thinking maybe it was just a bad batch and the 2nd set was even worse. I couldn’t believe the mess! I am so upset because these used to be my favorite towels. I’m not sure what brand I’ll replace mine with once the 5 year old set has bit the dust.
A little more pricier, but I actually prefer the Sonoma brand towels. I always snag a few when they have a kicking sale on them… They are the best! Thick, fluffy, large enough to wrap around my body, and dry quickly! Also, totally agree that the quality of the big ones has gone wayyy downhill over the years 🙁
Agree about the Sonoma towels. I like that they go all the way around me unlike the Big Ones. Maybe I am the big one?? lol Hope that Sonoma doesn’t start to skimp on their quality any time soon.

I have a set purchased a couple yrs ago and like Jennlk84 said, they r great !! The softnest has held up well and they could be passed off as brand new !! Ive read comments recently about how the quality has plummeted. Im pretty upset too because i would love to restock my second bath with these. I am going to try with 2 just to see. If nothing else at this price i can use it as a rag and throw it out.

i have owned these for a couple years just an FYI they are on the thinner side but dry quickly. For me they are just ok towels. The price is nice but if i had the money i would get the thicker plush ones

I looked at these in the store. When I held them up, I could see the light through them. Too thin and rough for me.
