It says to dry clean it 🙁
There were positive reviews of this item where people have washed and dried it at home. I had a down alternative comforter similar to this from Target and washed/dried it at home. It lasted 5 years before the filling got clumpy and I turned it into a dog bed. For $20, I wouldn’t bother getting it dry cleaned.
I missed this last time. I’m glad it’s back!
Yay! Happy you can grab one this time! 😉
I brought a few of these comforters about 2 years ago. I like them, they are lightweight and keep me warm during California winters. I even machine washed them a few times (despite the directions not to) and so far they are holding up fine. Don’t get me wrong though, they are not worth the original price of $100. I bought them for about $20 too and for this price they are fine. I do have one grudge though – they are short! I bought size King for my eastern king bed and while it does cover the sides of the bed somewhat, it’s not enough to cover the full length of the bed! It leaves maybe a few inches uncovered. But I still kept mine because they were comfy enough. I think if you have a queen bed and buy a king comforter for it, it may be just right to cover all sides substantially.
Thanks a bunch for the helpful feedback! Good to know how these have washed up for you!
I bought these a couple months ago at the last deal. They are nice and I agree these run small in size but not quite warm enough for Midwest winters. I bought a full/queen 88 x 88 which fits the full size bed and a king 88 x 104 which fits a queen size bed, but definitely not a king size bed. I would not pay more than $20. It sure seems the newer comforters are running smaller than what they used to be.
I see these all the time! I was suckered in a couple years ago to by one and even ended up buying another a few months ago. It was not what I was expecting the 1st time. Really thin, lightweight and definitely not worth $100! Worth exactly the $19.99 it was priced at. Now with that being said, I live in AZ so this actually worked out perfect however if I still lived in MI I would be sending it right back because there is no way this would have done it in those cold winter months. As for dry cleaning ha! I wash it 2x a month in my washing machine no problem!
That’s helpful to know that it’s thin and lightweight! Thanks for the feedback.
Just ordered 2 twins, I’m going to try and find duvet covers and then use them in our queen bed. May be easier then dealing with sharing the queen size comforter we have now. Saw this as an idea somewhere and always wanted to try it. No more cover stealing😉Thanks for posting!
Neat idea! You’re so welcome!
