I don’t understand. I thought the router and modem were one in the Same? I have a Motorola router/modem from 5 years ago. It is connected by ethernet directly to my computer. I was looking to upgrade to a newer router. My husband and I purchased our own because we didn’t want to be stuck with rental fees from time Warner. Is a router not the same thing? We need the modem as well if we do not rent from the cable company?
Nevermind. Did some research.
Does anyone know if this modem works with Wow? The model wasn’t on their approved list, but a very similar one was.
My parents use the WOW computer and the WOW technician told me it runs on LINUX (as opposed to Microsoft or IOs). I looked at the specs for this model on Best Buy and it lists it as being compatible with LINUX so I would think so. You can always call the technicians at WOW and ask as their list may not be up-to-date.
