Hi Collin. Last week, we had to put our boxer dog down. It was really sad.

I had ordered a lifting aid for her from Chewy.com and it just didn’t work. It kept falling off. Anyway, I had a chat with Chewy.com and they said no problem, they would credit my account and to donate it to our local shelter.

Just a few days ago, I received this card in the mail from them. I cannot express how awesome their customer service is. I was so touched by the card, it made me cry. I just wanted to share because I know customer service is very important to you. Thank you for all you do!

    This is so sweet. We recently lost our pup as well and I received a note from the vet that was very heart felt. Pets truly leave a mark on us forever.

    So sorry for your loss. I know it’s very difficult. We had to put our boxer down as well last year. He could no longer use his back legs and we even had a wheelchair for him for almost a year! Thank you for sharing info about chewy.com I’ve never ordered from them but will definitely keep them in mind when I need something.

    A friend of mine ordered food regularly from chewy.com, and when her dog died, she contacted them to stop the auto delivery. Not only did they follow through, but they also sent her sympathy flowers.

    My mom used to work at an animal shelter out here and foster at the same time. She stopped working there but still fostered. There was another women she ended up being friends with through fostering. A few months ago this woman was killed in a head on car crash (not her fault) and she ordered from Chewy on a regular basis. Chewy found out about the accident and sent a huge flower arrangement to the visitation services. It required 2 people to carry it in.

    Wow, Chewy have some wonderful people working for them. I was not an animal person…. till I got my dog a year ago. He is like my child now and losing him would be heartbreaking. So sorry for your loss Carrie

    I had a similar experience when I had to cancel our Bark Box subscription after our dog passed away. They sent a very kind, handwritten letter expressing their condolences. As soon as we adopted another dog, we subscribed again. I love that personal touch.

I am presently pet-less but I do order toys & treats for other canine family members. Never heard of Chewy before but they’re definitely on my radar now!!

    I am so sorry for what you are going through. My sweet Australian Shepherd girl had to be put to sleep yesterday due to heart failure. It hurts so much more than I ever thought it could.     My friend ordered treats from Chewy that ended up making her dog sick (not deathly sick or anything). They refunded the cost of the treats AND they sent her a custom painted portrait of her dog and handwritten note. WHAT?!! Amazing!
