This workshop will be hosted on Saturday, October 6th, and will give kids the opportunity to build a FREE Fireboat!
Kids can celebrate National Fire Safety Month by building a model fireboat and decorating it with paint and stickers. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.
These workshops are designed for kids ages 5-12 and are offered at all Home Depot stores between 9am-12pm.
You might even have some fun visitors show up during the workshop! Hip2Save Sidekick, Stacy and her kids, loved visiting with local firefighters and exploring a fire truck at last year’s event.
Do you have to be there the entire time of 9-12, or just came anytime in that window?
Hi Nicole! You can drop in any time between those hours! They usually have lots of tables set up; you can just find an open seat and work at your own pace!
It typically doesn’t take us very long, & we’re out in like 30 min tops. We usually go around 10 am, because my mom works at that location & says that they do run out of them (she calls to tell us if it’s getting busy) . And they do request that you register so they know how many to get so they don’t run out, because they get a lot of people that just walk-in. Ours also gives snacks at the end when they get their certificates, I’m not sure all do though.
No not my store they don’t give a snack and there is no tables we set on the floor, yep! It’s not clean and uncomfortable 😣 but still we love to go and me and my kids enjoy it!
