I just followed the directions and placed the order but I’m a little confused. It says I will be charged 14.99/month renewal on jan 30, 19. Is that correct? I’m a new user.
You won’t be charged. That’s after the trial period
Actually, what it says is correct. On Jan 30th (or 2 months from sign up date) you will get charged ONLY IF you don’t cancel autorenewal before then. You can cancel the auto renewal at any time after you sign up, it’s been suggested to wait for the mini to ship before you do cancel. Also, not in post yet, the upgrade to family plan converts the 3 month trial into a 2 month trial. Really good deal, been active for a while and several people already received their minis. Just set a reminder to cancel subscription and you will be fine.

I got the link for the Google Home, but it is charging me $49.99 and had my Paypal information, so I worried it will charge me .. is your total showing up as $0 or as $49.99?
Try clearing your browser and clicking on the email link again. It worked for me. It finally show the $49 credit.

Great deal! Just a heads up, I noticed that the Google Home Mini is expected to arrive AFTER Christmas for me.
Please see previous comments. When you upgrade to family plan it changes from 3 month trial to a 2 month trial. End of trial is when it will charge you if you don’t cancel by then. Set a reminder to cancel auto renewal once you get the mini or at least before the end of 2 months.
I just did this and it charged me and shows another charge date of Jan 30th when before it said March 2nd.
The link for the 0.99 cents isn’t showing it’s taking me to the regular subscription for $9.99

Question about the Google mini. At what point will it say that it is free. I have registered for Spotify, upgraded to family and received the google mini email. Upon going through it, it is still saying that it is 49.00 and to put in my credit card info. Any help or insight will be much appreciated.
Ok. Persistence pays off. After backing out completely 3 or 4 times it finally showed my credit.
Once you get to google checkout, it shows -$49.00.
Be sure to follow steps EXACTLY. Do the 3 month trial, get charged = .99. Then, do the upgrade to family plan, it will say it is going to charge 14.99, it doesn’t if you have been following instructions posted here, charged = $0. Then click the 3rd link to claim your mini, it will say $49 up until you get to checkout, credit will be applied, charge =$0. Do NOT submit payment if credit isn’t showing at the end. Remember to set reminder to cancel auto-renewal before the now 2 MONTH trial ends to avoid a charge. Enjoy the music on your new mini. Total charge =$0.99.

@melissa I did this three weeks ago…we already had the family account and yes I have received my google home mini. It was later than they said as far as arrival by a couple of days but it did come with tracking so I wasn’t worried 🙂

“Log in to your account page.
Click Subscription in the menu on the left.
Click CHANGE OR CANCEL.
Click CANCEL PREMIUM.
Click YES, CANCEL. Your account page now shows the date you’ll return to the Free service. We hope you decide to upgrade again!”

Was bummed i missed alexa deal and mini deal at walmart but glad to get this and try spotify… only thing though is, it didnt say anywhere explicitly that my free trial subscription changes to 2 months family plan trial from 3 months premium trial? Was this the case for everyone? In my account status it does say i will be charged 14.99 on 1/31/19… is that the only clue then?
