Wow that’s a great price! I got my 16yo daughter the matte gold Solo3 for Christmas and they look and sound sharp. I paid $250 and thought I got a good deal.
I agree. I bought my son a pair on Black Friday for $179 (set my alarm for 3am so I could get the deal) and I thought that was a great price. The ones I bought were green, but same headphones.
While this a good deal, for long term listening I prefer over the ear headphones vs this on ear version. I got my son SkullCandy Hesh 3 headphones for about $79 from Amazon, they sound really good. There are comparisons to beats on YouTube, personally it’s kind of wild to me to spend over $300 on something like headphones.
Is the skull candy comfortable on the ears and fit?
Yes they are super comfy and does a good job cancelling out sound. They last a long time without charging and connects much faster than the Beats.
How is the comfort level on this? Does the ear start to hurt in a couple hours?
Because these sit on your ears instead of covering them, they do hurt after awhile and ears get a little tender because of the weight also they aren’t as comfy if you lean your head on something in the car or whatever it will hurt after sometime.
I’ve had the beats solo3 & they didn’t last long (I’ve had at least 5 different beats headphones & none of them have lasted longer than maybe 6 months). I recently got the skullcandy crusher wireless (I think they are about $100-$120) for $40 (still in box & new, I got lucky!) and I like them muchhhhh more than any of the beats I’ve had. The sound (especially the haptic bass) is far superior, the quality is a lot more sturdy (this is where most of my beats have failed), & the battery life/speed of connectivity is very impressive. The solo3 are good too…and for $150 it’s a great deal, but there are better options out there (including bose & some JBL’s as well).
