Thank you for the CVS deals. It appears to be a shorter than usual list or is it just me?
I looked at the CVS ad before I checked out the hip2save deal suggestions. After I looked at the ad, I thought it didn’t seem to be a really good week to shop at CVS for deals. I was hoping that I missed something, but I guess not!
Hi there! Over the last few weeks, we have received a lot of feedback from readers that our weekly store deals were too long and overwhelming. As a result, we made the decision to trim them down by really focusing on only the best deals. Our hope is that this condensed version of only the best deals will make these weekly lists less overwhelming and more helpful. With that being said, we are always open to feedback! So feel free to send an email to Collin@hip2save.com and/or leave a comment on this post if you have any suggestions of ways we can improve. Thanks!
It was better when you did best deals in red. Although it was length it gave all the deals and everyone gets different red box coupons so although some deals weren’t red (best deal) they ended up being very good deals depending on your red box coupon.
I like the lists that have everything. I know it’s more work for you guys, but I like knowing all of my options when I have ecbs about to expire or when I desperately need a certain item and can know whether CVS has an ok deal on it. I thought it was a good compromise to have you favorite deals at the bottom of the post, so people who want just that can scroll down to that. Or like how you do a best target deals post, maybe have the best drug store deals in a separate post for each store. Just a thought. But I really hope you go back to posting everything in the ad.
Also, I feel like this happened before where you guys tried to shorten weekly deal posts and a ton of people said they liked the posts with everything, so you switched back. I sure hope you switch back again.
Katie, thank you for taking the time to leave your honest feedback. We do appreciate it and I will forward this on to the team!
(Yes, Katie, your memory is correct that is was Hip2Save that switched a while ago and then reverted back after the vast majority preferred the “old” way, with the best deals highlighted in red.)
I think there are a lot of people who probably only shop the best deals – regardless of need. For me, I am trying to get the best prices on the things my family uses and so the longer lists with all the deals (even if they were not the best) helped me shop more economically. I buy a lot of things like children allergy meds, melatonin, vitamin C, probiotics, miralax, etc on a regular basis due to medical conditions – and while I do stock up when the best deals are available – I am often just happy to save a few bucks when there is a sale with a coupon. So I liked the old format better with the best deals in red.
Jen, thank you for letting us know your thoughts on the new format, we appreciate your honest feedback! I will be passing these on to the team.
If we are getting to vote on this…then I vote to “bring it on — all of it” !
Frequently, your post is just the beginning of my savings. I use the magic coupon red box savings on top of what you suggest and usually end up with money makers. I love hip2save and CVS deals. Thank you for letting me vote 🙂
It does seem like the best compromise is to go back to highlighting the best deals in red. On weeks when I didn’t need anything, I could just scan those and other times when you need something (maybe not the best deal) or need to use ECB’s, you have the whole list.
I like the old way better too. Like most people here I’m always shopping for other things too. I like to check the page to see what deals I can get even if it’s not the best for everyone.
I like the long list
There are no Physician”s Formula InstaReady Glide-On Gel Eyeliner anywhere around the Detroit area.
Bummer! Sorry to hear that, Paul!
I preferred the previous format as well. Truly appreciate your teams hard work.
Thanks for the feedback, Cathy! We sure appreciate YOU!
I vote for previous format also.
I do like the ‘all deals’ format that you had as well…sometimes I have ECBs that are about to expire, and it helps to see other options on stuff I may use rather than just the ‘best deals’ on stuff I may not need.
Also, has anyone ever used the Physician’s Formula Glide-On Gel Eyeliners as pictured in the post? I tried them, and I returned them because they were super dry and tuggy. Maybe they were “old” at my store? I was surprised because most ‘gel’ liners are not like that, and I really expected different.
I tried the PF gel liners thinking they sounded more gently than some lines, but like you, felt they were not great; took some effort to get any liner to show up. Not their best product to me.
Please bring back the old format.
Yes I like the old format as well.
I seem to get a ton of CVS coupons from the red magic machine that match up with the sales.
So what may not have been the best deals initially can turn into a fantastic deal!!
Thanks for all your hard work you guys rock!!
Aww, You’re welcome! Thanks for taking the time to comment! We sure appreciate the feedback!
I like “All Deals” format. I agree with the above comments. We all have different situations. By knowing all deals, we can make our choices. Thank you for all your hard work!
I liked when you posted the long list but then had the “favorites” section which high-lighted the best deals. Sometimes even the ones that are not the “best” deals are things that we might want to go ahead an get that particular week; it seems like we all get CVS coupons from the magic coupon machine that are tailored to our past purchases. Sometimes these coupons paired with the so-so deals turn them into great deals. 🙂 Thanks for letting us post our preferences!! Either way, we all appreciate the heads-up!!
You’re very welcome! Thank YOU for being valued reader! We truly appreciate your feedback!
I like ALL DEALS format too. I buy the things my family needs and it was better for me when it was longer. CVS is the only store in my small town in NE Ohio that I can coupon at and the CVS Saturday post you had was the highlight of my day. So if I get a vote I want the long version. Thank you Hip2save for all you do!!!
Go back! Go back! I appreciate everything you all do, the longer lists were fabulous and covered so many varieties of things. Much prefer the longer lists!
Please bring back the previous version. I’ve been a fan since 2009, but this new format is very disappointing for those who shop based on need, rather than the “best” deals.
The votes are unanimous! Readers who think the posts are too long always have the option of skipping through what they dont need. For other readers, like myself, it’s helpful to have all the info and the bigger picture with all the deals. Would be great if you went back to the old format!
Please bring back the long list. I don’t want to have to go to another blog to find the long list! I want to see all the options and on the long list some things catch my eye to use up my ECBs.
Thank you!!!
All deals with best highlighted in red, please!!
Count me in on the “all deals” format! And red highlighted for the better/best deals.
I would also like to add my two cents by noting that I prefer the previous format with all the deals listed. Like many people have already pointed out, we often have different ECBs and coupons from the coupon machine based on our shopping habits. So what might not be a good deal for some can be a great deal for others.
I vote all deals too. I appreciate all the work you all do. As many have said already, the so-so become great depending on my store coupons. I look forward to reading through the long lists each Saturday. What I don’t need I just skip over. It’s not overwhelming unless I were to try each an every deal but as I only look for what I want/need I get the variety of deals to look through…
All deals! That ensures you are helping EVERYONE save…which is why we’re all here! Gosh…I opened all these weekly deals posts and was soooooo disappointed! My heart sank to my stomach.
Bring back the old format!
Please go back to giving us all of the deals…if some people are “overwhelmed” they should take a deep breath.
i prefer the old format as well. longer list with red highlights of the best deals. this way we decide picking our best deals for us, with coupons or no coupons.
thanks
With all the crazy changes going on in our world right now – one thing I could depend on was your store lists of deals – please, please return it. I need some normalcy! Thanks!
Agree with the ALL Deals. Everyone has different needs, but with the personalized coupons from the red box, can make a ‘blah’ deal into a ‘best deal’ for me! I never really looked at the deal scenarios, so I just scrolled by those.
I also missed the sneak peek post for the upcoming wk.
Please the old format please
I agree with all deals listed and the best deals in red. Please return to old format. Thank you for all you do to help us all get such great deals!!
I too prefer the all deals format with the best highlighted in red.
I much prefer the longer format!
Old format please! Thanks.
I vote for the old format. However, I will be a constant reader regardless 🙂 thank you guys for everything you do!
Please bring back the old format. I think most readers like it better. Many times I would spot deals that I would have thought as good deals but weren’t marked in red. IMO this is way too short
I agree. I like the long lists! Many of us shop more than the best deals. Knowing even the little deals to some can be huge to others. 😊
I agree! Many times the old lists helped with using expiring coupons, ECB’s or CVS coupons, such as mouthwash, hair products and cosmetics.
I really miss the old format. Please bring it back!
I like the long format with the great deals highlighted in red. Maybe you could have 2 separate posts so those who get overwhelmed can click on the shorter one.
Please bring back the old format.
I prefer the lists that include everything, so I can pick and choose what is a good deal for me.
I also prefer the old format. Anyone who doesn’t like it can just scroll through and find the ones highlighted in red.
I would like the old format back, it was very helpful.
Please please please bring back the old format. I love your site and appreciate all of your hard work. But now I need to find another site that lists all of the deals for this week. Thank you for considering going back to listing all the deals.
I truly appreciate everything Hip2Save does!! I also prefer the longer list.
I prefer complete sale list too. So I can combine with the 30 some CVS coupons I get every week to change an so so deal become a best deal or even a free deal. Also, when I really need something and it may not best deal but I will still do it if I know it is on sale. You already highlight those best deal in red, so everybody still easy to get the best deal if that is what they want.
I thought i was missing something too 😦
I like the other version also- with deals hi lighted in red…
I, too, vote to go back to the old format for weekly store deals. It was much more useful to me than a condensed version. 1) you are my favorite and only coupons/ deals stop via the website or H2S app, and you help me get great deals weekly at drugstores and also online and 2) because of that, you’re the only site that I ever recommend to other people. But if you change and only list a few condensed weekly deals for CVS, then basically I’d have to then go thru the entire weekly ad myself anyway, picking out deals. And the fact that you helped me by listing that out, was the whole point of using your weekly CVS deals post to plan my shopping. Therein lay the value to me. So please go back to listing all the deal match-ups from the weekly CVS ad – it provided me with real value and kept me coming back week after week! Thank you! I love Hip2Save
I prefer the old method as well. I’d like to make the decision whether or not deals not highlighted in red may still be a good deal for me. Plus when you highlight in red, it makes the best deals stand out even more.
Old format please!
Sigh. I’m so tired of the “it’s all about me” culture. I’m in the majority here and much prefer the long lists. To those that were “overwhelmed” by them, there are other people using this site that are interested in deals that you may not be…new concept, I know! Probably the same people that were highly offended by the farting coloring books, Shades of Grey book deal, and over-processed foods, LOL. Many thanks Hip2Save. You are the BEST!
Not sure if the L’Oreal deal is correct. I think the total is $18.36 and $10 was subtracted twice.
I think the L’Oreal deal is not correct. The total should be $18.36. I think $10 was deducted twice.
Hi there! There is a $10 off L’Oreal Facial Care Products coupon, that you may have in addition to the EB that you can earn. Hoping that helps!
I like the longer post. I get nearly 30 CVS store coupons each week, and I like to see every possible sale, mfr, and store coupon matchups that are available to me. Some things that may not seem as good of a deal to some people actually end up being free or money makers with my customized store coupons.
