Curious what other fun finds we’ve seen at Dollar Tree lately?
My local Dollar Tree is Very picky about accepting coupons. I have tried to use $1 off coupons there before where the item would just be tax, but the cashiers always tell me that they can’t do that. Even when I had a coupon for $1/2, they said that I couldn’t use it. Hopefully everyone else has kinder Dollar Tree cashiers.
Did you show them the coupon policy on their website?

Thanks for posting this Sara! I don’t use coupons at DT, but with this knowledge, I can dispute someone who tells me I can’t use it!
Question though: Would this coupon be considered a manufacturer or internet coupon? And how many can you use at a time?
I think it is an internet coupon since you print it yourself. The site says:
โขWe accept up to two (2) Internet Coupons per customer per day.
โขInternet Coupons must be a โManufacturer Couponโ, have a valid expiration date, and must have a valid remit address for the manufacturer.
โขWe do not accept Internet Coupons for โFreeโ items with no purchase requirements.
โขDuplicated (photocopies) Internet Coupons will not be accepted. Each Internet Coupon must have a different serial number.
It appears that you can use two like internet coupons if they have different serial numbers. The policy doesn’t seem to specifically address this.
Thank you for clarifying. Just want to ensure I don’t look ignorant when using this!
I was able to print the coupon, but not without difficulty. It’s a good thing this is a fairly recent post. Clicking on Deals, Stores, Coupons, Recipes, Tips, and About Us on the desktop site doesn’t work. All it does is add a hashtag to the end of the address. It doesn’t send me to a different page. There is no drop down menus either. They work on the mobile site, but that doesn’t do me any good if I want to print something.
The desktop site is also EXTREMELY slow. The page won’t move at all until every single ad has fully loaded. I hate the desktop site. I avoid it until I am forced to use it to print something.
This is in Internet Explorer 11.
Try using another browser. IE is known to be notoriously slow.
This only happens with Hip2Save and Hip2BeHome.
Hi Sara! That is so odd! I just tested in IE, and what I found is if you click on one of the drop-down menus, and it adds the # at the end of the URL, then none of the rest of the drop-down menus actually work. If you don’t click on the menu, and wait for the drop-down menu to show up, they’re all working just fine. I DID find, however, that the menus seems to load slowly in IE for me, too, so I’m going to send that over to our tech team to peek at. In the meantime, do you have another browser you’re able to try? I find the site to load and run perfectly in Chrome.
The entire desktop site loads slowly for me, not just the menus. The site loads a little faster in other browsers, but it is still slow due to having to wait for all of the ads to load. I only use the mobile site in Chrome on my phone. The desktop site loads slowly in Chrome on my phone.
The drop-down menus never showed up. Hovering only made it orange and made the arrow point in the opposite direction. This happened before and after I clicked.
I have Edge and Chrome. I don’t like Chrome on my laptop. I don’t mind Chrome on my phone. I hate Edge. I only use those browsers when I want to print more coupons, when a site shows different product availability based on your browser, and when Internet Explorer malfunctions when using a shopping portal.
Thanks so much for taking the time to let us know how the site has been working for you! We will for sure look into it!
Saturday – 3:45pm EST, – Took me less than a minute to print – Printed 2 copies – Easy peasey – Thanks!
Note this is a Bricks coupon
Bricks?
My DT doesnโt accept coupons even if I show them the coupon policy. They said some deal website made up that printed version ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
i hate when they play coupon police.. come on DT DONโT give everyone a hard time – with coupons, my dollar tree is great at accepting coupons thankfully
Was able to print it out however at the store it did not scan. Kept beeping so cashier would not accept.
Darn! Sorry to hear that, Dana!
They were very nice about it but they could not take the coupon. It beeped every time and they told me it said retailer specific coupon, which it obviously isn’t. They tried both scanning and entering it by hand, it came up every time. They have no way to override it, either. Has anyone been able to use this coupon there?
