Teacher Appreciation Event at Walmart on July 13th (Free Swag Bag, Photo Booth & Treats)
Teachers! Head to Walmart on Saturday!
Walmart is hosting a Teacher Appreciation Event on Saturday, July 13th from 12:30 to 4:30 PM! Go here to find a participating store near you.
If you are one of the first 300 teachers at the store, you’ll score a free Swag Bag loaded with freebies from Crayola, 3M, Bic, Fiskars & more! Note that some locations are requiring that you bring your teacher ID or email address.
ALL teachers can stay and enjoy free cake, ice cream, and drinks! Plus, there will be a fun photo booth!
Grab THIS list for the best school supply prices!
(Thanks, Alexandria!)
I wonder if homeschool teachers count??
Where in the store are these events located?
I don’t think so as the site didn’t have much info and other news sources stated that you had to bring your school ID or show your school email address.
I just went and I am a homeschool teacher and I brought proof and they let me get the goody bag.
I wonder if this will be like the baby event where the employees had no idea about it!
I sure hope this one goes more smoothly! You could always call in to your location to be certain they are participating! Hope that helps!
I’m hoping they will at least get the teachers event right b/c the “baby event” in my area was laughable.
Oh bummer! SO sorry to hear about that, Katie!
Don’t look like too many stores are participating. None near me are. And the free bag is for the first 300 in the store only
omg… can’t edit my post. *doesn’t.
Bummer! Thanks for taking the time to comment, Dana! It doesn’t look like my store is participating in this one either.
If you are a member of HSLDA you have a card that nearly everywhere accepts as a teacher ID.
This is so great! We need all the supplies when can get! It makes our student’s education so much more enjoyable! Thanks!!!
You’re welcome! Hope you’re able to stop by your local event! 🙂
Does anyone know if there is a grade limit? I’m a grad student on a teaching scholarship, so I teach undergrad classes to get my tuition down. The supplies would be helpful b/c I would have to less to buy for my classroom. Being a student and a teacher makes money tight.
Hi there! I don’t find a grade limit listed. You could always call in to your location to be certain! Hope that helps!
Does it include teacher assistants?
I don’t find anything on that in the details. Be sure to call in to your store to be sure on how they are honoring the event!
Would be nice if the Walmart in my area actually participated in this or cared about their customers.
DARN! Sorry to hear about that, Colleen! My store is not on the list for this event either. Is there another nearby Walmart that may be having it, that you could shop at? Hope that helps!
Is this Teacher’s Promo apply in Walmarts at MEXICO ? Is this hapoening on July 13, here in Monterrey ,Mexico???? Tks a lot !
Hi Marysol! Be sure to click through the link above to find if your store is participating. You could also call in to your location. Hoping that helps!
This sounds awesome but disappointed in the locations offered. While I would have been nicely surprised if my OR Coast Walmart had one, you would think of all the Walmart’s in Portland there would be more than one location there too!
This was a disappointment. And false advertisement. I was there before 1230. There are 4 items in the bag..a pair of scissors, a 4 pack of dry erase markers, one pen and one marker
Thanks for the heads up. I will skip this event.
This was not worth leaving the house! My bag only had 2 coupons, 2 flyers, a ruler, one pen, and one marker. This was not worth the trip. I hope other teachers get better bags. 🙁
I got one pen, one highlighter, and a ruler. Your bag must have been the “deluxe” bag.
I was there at 12:05
I got five different kinds of pens(one of each), ruler, and a sample of post its.
My sister in law just went and was there before start time. Her “swag bag” consisted of flyers and coupons. And only like 5 of them at that. I would post a picture if I could. Disappointing. I guess the contents are dependent on what the location wants to do?? Did any of y’all get real “stuff”?
I hope no one rearranged their day for this it was a waste of my time. Blue shopping bag a 79 cent ruler. A few coupons to buy stuff in their store. Cake and ice cream. I shared this with fellow teachers. I felt duped.
Oh darn! I’m so sorry to hear that Blyth Swarsfager!
I just went not really worth the trip. Disappointing, lot’s of coupons. false advertising. I am glad I had shopping to do otherwise it would have been a waist of time.
I agree with everyone. Complete waste of time and disappointment. I got a cheap rules and like 2-3 pens.
Wow, I’m so sad! I was hoping this would be great. Thanks so much for letting us know, Jeremy!
It was a big slap on the face for teachers ! The swag bag contained one ☝️ pen . The treats was a sample size cake ( inside those little ketchup cups) . And the activity was one ☝️ box of legos to share.
Sadly, it was a disappointment! I received a Walmart bag, Walmart koozie, one ruler, a few pens, and some coupons. I used some of the coupons so that was nice. The promotion of this was huge………the reality not so much.
