This is such a great deal. I LOVE the Tidy Cat Breeze system. I will never, ever go back to litter. Thinking of litter now gives me nightmares hahaha
LOL! I haven’t tried this system for my cat. Thanks for the review, Mary! Good to know how much you have liked it!
I’ve had 2 cats that will use this litter box, and 2 cats that won’t use it and prefer sand. This system is much cleaner than sand, and much easier to maintain.
Thanks for sharing your experience! SO interesting how some cats prefer certain varieties.
We have had this system for years and it works well. However, be aware that you might not be able to find the pellets and pads locally, and they aren’t cheap. Also, my cats like to kick around whatever litter they use, so the little pellets found their way around our home and they are like tiny little Legos under your bare feet.
Oh darn! Thanks for the helpful comment, Dee!
My cat refused to use this and I was so disappointed. But like a previous person said the refill pads and pellets are expensive.
Bummer! Thanks for sharing with us, Mrs BK! I don’t think my cat would use it either. She is very old and I’m afraid she might not like it as she has become more particular!
My cat is only 4 but very particular about his litter and food. I agree some cats won’t like this system if they don’t like changes.
You’re right! They can be particular at any age!
I use this system as well and love it. The pads are expensive but Amazon just started making replacement pads under their AmazonBasics line. Even prior to that, I thought the extra expense to be worth it as it was so much cleaner without the dist and pellets everywhere! I just got my first order of the AmazonBasics pads in so I haven’t had a chance to try them yet. Fingers crossed!
Oh cool! Thanks for the suggestion! Hope they work well!
Wow! This is a great deal!! I have 2 cats and have 2 of these systems for my multi-level home. I absolutely adore this system! My cats were still young when I transitioned to it and they’ve done well. It’s so much ‘cleaner’ and easy to maintain.
Like others have stated, occasionally the cats do ‘kick out’ a couple of pellets, near the box, but we have extra-large litter pads (rubberized rugs) beneath our 2 boxes and they catch most of the stray pellets. We just toss ’em back into the litter box whenever we find random pellets in the vicinity.
Great idea to have the rubberized rugs! Thanks so much for that suggestion!
We use this system and wouldn’t ever go back to a regular litter box. To save more, we use pine horse stall pellets from Tractor Supply. I put the pellets in the top and the bottom. When the pellets get wet, we dump the bottom. I’ve also used the pellets that it comes with on the top and the pine pellets on the bottom. That worked well too. This is a great deal at this price!
I always hated getting in my bed at night and finding some sand. Even a little is too much for me. My cats are 14 and have never used anything else. I use cheap pads for the bottom and change them out everyday. The litter lasts about a month for $8 a bag. Its fantastic for when I need to get a pee pee or poop sample for the vet!! There are many youtube hacks on this system.
