I had a horrible experience with Raise. Ordered spa wish gift cards that were delivered electronically. I gifted them to my sister and when she tried to use they were invalid ( needed the physical card to use). I called Raise and the customer service was awful. Ended up waiting 2 full weeks for a refund. I DO NOT recommend using them!!!
Oh no! Thanks so much about your feedback on your experience, Emily NYC! We sure appreciate it.
At least you got your money back! Cardflip/Southwest screwed me out of $300 in Southwest Airline Giftcards (which I was able to use on Southwest’s website, and then Southwest came back and said they were fraudulent after the fact). At that point, I was done with purchasing 3rd party giftcards and done flying southwest. Don’t know whose fault it was, but the protection you get from paying with your credit/debit card is worth a little extra money.
I have used them often for Walmart gift cards to use at Sams to buy other gift cards for even more money off. I have never had a problem. I have spent hundreds of dollars with them. The balance was always accurate.
didn’t get the extra 5 dollars off
Did you verify both your email and phone number?
yes, and sent them an email. Haven’t heard anything back.
Thanks! Let us know what you find out, beatrice!
Hi there! Was this the email you messaged – social@raise.com? They should get back to you soon about your credit.
Is the $5 like a gift card you get to choose on the site or is like $5 in credit to apply to a purchase? I’m interested in signing up especially for Starbucks since I’m always adding money to use on my account anyway!
It is a credit to apply on your purchase, Liz!
I have used Raise for Dominos gift cards and used them right away without any problems. Just a caution to be careful with Starbucks. My credit card was fraudulently used to buy a bunch of Starbucks gift cards and in my research it is a common crime. But if you add the fraudulently obtained gift card to your existing Starbucks and it comes back fraud . Starbucks will cancel your card and your forfeit your entire balance not just the fraudulent card amount.
Thanks so much for the warning!
Stay away from Raise. Like others, I’ve had gift cards end up being fraudulent, and a refund takes longer than it should. Additionally, I once purchased a DD gift card, and because it was flagged as stolen, DD locked my account in my app. I had to seek a refund from Raise and call DD to get the matter sorted out. NOT WORTH IT!
I didn’t receive $5 off my first purchase. After activating a code came up for $10 off a purchase but it was for a $100 minimum purchase.
Hi Lindsey! Did you verify your email and phone number first?
the same thing happened to me
Bummer! Be sure to contact customer service if you have not yet received your $5 credit – social@raise.com
Hope that helps!
Agreed that Raise has terrible customer service. Balance was less than stated and I could not get a refund, despite multiple attempts.
Darn! SO sorry to hear about that, Shirley. Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us.
Hi Shirley,
We strive to provide the best service possible and we apologize for this experience! Could you send us an email to social@raise.com? We will escalate this to our support team and help you regarding your order.
Thanks,

Whoop, whoop!!! I had an unexpected $5 credit with Raise just now and was able to use it with the extra promotional discount. Scored a $10 Starbucks giftcard for $3.88! I almost always use Raise to buy my Starbucks cards, so I don’t have much guilt when I get a little treat for myself. As a wife and mom of 2, I appreciate the savings. ♡♡♡ Thank you HIP2SAVE, y’all are a blessing!
You are SO very welcome, Sara! 💕 Thanks so much for the sweet comment! We sure appreciate YOU!
Have never had issues with Raise (keep my fingers crossed). I regularly buy Lowe’s, Starbucks, and Olive Garden gift-cards.
Bought 2 gift cards in the past. Both from Claire’s. Both electronic and worked with no problem 🙂 Happy shopper here – Hmmm… Do they have for carnival cruise line’s?
Yes, we do have Carnival Cruise gift cards available! If you have any questions or would like more information, please let us know as we’re here to help.
Like many others, I had a bad experience with Raise. I bought a cracker Barrell gift card to take a couple out to dinner. Went to pay, only to find out it wasn’t valid. I hadn’t budgeted for that 100 bucks either. It was within the first year but it took hours on the phone and multiple phone calls for them to tell me it was a fraudulent card. Then they said they could only send me a check! The check took weeks and I was seriously annoyed! Not to mention, they were less than helpful or pleasant. I basically had to demand my money back! Good luck!
Nothing but a great experience. I have bought several home depot, movie, michaels and restaurant cards on raise!! I even bought an air bnb card and saved! Great deal for me. Only thing is if you are going buy from a retailer on line and then plan to buy and then use for a raise electronic delivery card, allow for a few hours for it to settle to your raise account. Most of the time the gift card number shows up within minutes, but keep that in mind.
