I did one of these sock advent calendars last year for each of my older sons and husband, it was a big hit. Everyone really enjoyed opening a brand new pair of socks every day.
What were the socks like? Long, short?
A variety, some short, ankle, and long.
Oh awesome! Thanks for sharing, LC! Glad to hear how much they enjoyed these!
Do these ever go on sale? I want to get some and know 1 dollar per sock isn’t horrible but still…should I hold out? 🙂
Last year they said out at $15.
Thank you 🙂 I better grab them now then 🙂
There were a lot left over after Christmas on clearance in my area.
Does anyone know the quality of these socks? Are they any better than Dollar Tree socks or about the same? Dollar Tree socks are one and done for my boys.
I bought the Nightmare Before Christmas set. Not sure if they’re all the same quality. The designs are really cool. The material is quite thin. I imagine they won’t last super long and might ruin easily with rowdy boys. The fit is fine but not as comfy as my normal socks.
I bought a few of my kids these sets last year, and none that I’ve seen come thru the laundry have any holes yet.
These are actually great socks! I’ve gotten the Christmas woodlands animals pattern for my now 12 year old, the past 2 years. While similar, each design has been different. She basically expects them now, as she’s already looking forward to some new socks next month, lol! She’s not super rough on clothes, but just to get an idea, almost all pairs from both previous years are still in regular rotation over here. We love advent calendars in our house, and I especially like this one, as it really is useful past the month of December!! Hope this helps anyone who was on the fence at all.
That’s a great recommendation, Sara! Thanks for stopping by!
This will be my 3rd Christmas season working with Target and I can say these sock sets are really popular. The first year many would fly off the shelves as soon as we put them out! In the past they were always 12 socks for $15 so this is one of the few things that kept the price, but actually increased the amount you get. I’d say if you know someone who likes a particular character set you are eyeing, buy them sooner than later. They could sell out quick, and while an after Christmas price is nice (I’ve lucked out in the past with the more Christmas themed ones) it won’t help if you want to use as a gift or advent calendar.
Has anyone tried the Minecraft theme for boys this year? They have the socks but no picture of the prints. Are they Minecraft with Christmas theme?
Last year the Minecraft weren’t Xmas themed. My kids are still wearing them!
So helpful!
Anyone know if the men’s would fit a size 6.5 women’s?
My 16 year old daughter is a big Rick & Morty fan which they old carry in men’s. She wears a 6.5-7 in shoes and had no issue with the men’s socks
Awesome thanks!
Love this! So different from just a regular chocolate advent calendar. I got my daughters the cat one and the Harry Potter one. They are going to have fun! Thank you for such a great idea!
You are so welcome! Thanks for stopping by, justme!
