How’s the quality for these ones? I’d like to buy one. I’ve never had one.
Hey Hip2Save, I appreciate these weighted blanket deals! Would you please reconsider the use of the word “suffer” when referring to various conditions and neurodivergences. Some will find the use of the word “suffer” in some of these areas quite hurtful. Maybe consider instead listing the potential positives of using a weighted blanket, ” benefits may include reduced stress, calming, increased focus, sensory regulation, falling asleep and staying asleep and more”!
I understand what you are saying, but some of the conditions listed are things that one would “suffer” from. Had it just been, “autism”, then it might, for some people, be offensive. But in this case, it said “great for those who suffer from stress, anxiety, autism, ADHD, insomnia and more!” And therefore, I don’t feel it is offensive. My daughter has or has had all of the things listed. And I can say, without a doubt, that she truly has “suffered” from some of them!! Please don’t think I’m saying this in a rude or argumentative way. That’s not my intention. Just offering an opinion and my thoughts. Hope everyone has a great day!
Thanks so much for your feedback, Sarah. We sure appreciate your comment. The wording in the post has been updated!
Thanks so much, Amber! =)
Jen, I understand what you are saying and that’s why I used the word “some”.
You’re very welcome. 😊
I was going to buy the Tranquility 12 lb blanket during the Black Friday sale at Walmart for $30. Then I read the reviews and the main complaint was that it wasn’t stitched in a quilt pattern so all of the beads move to one side rendering it useless.
The NEX that I chose is 15 lbs and larger for $10 more and it is stitched in a grid quilted pattern. You are supposed to buy one that is about 10% of your weight. I wish I still weighed 120 lbs lol! The main complaints with the NEX are that it is too heavy and hot and that the blanket was leaking beads. I know I wouldn’t be able to stand it in the summer (San Jose) and it rarely gets really cold here. I don’t want to store it most of the time so I’ll pass for now although I’m still a little on the fence. I really wanted to try it because I have really bad insomnia and grind my teeth terribly while sleeping.
Is this the best price for weighted blankets? I’ve been waiting for this time of year to get one!!!
