Does anyone have this? Is it comparable in grilled food taste or just a close substitute if you do not want to cook outside?
Gas grill yes charcoal no. I love love it
I don’t like it. It was a waste for our family. It’s nothing like grilling! I was really hoping it would be.. but nope. I usually love ninja products.. not this one.
Thank you both for giving your honest review. I really appreciate it 🙂
Does it cook similar to the George Foreman grill?
I got one a few weeks ago at Kohls – even better deal than this one so I was thrilled. We liked it but it’s big and I don’t have tons of counter space so I was storing it in a different place. It’s also hard to clean – the grate did not get clean enough in the dishwasher so I was washing by hand. They give a brush to help clean in between the edges of the grate but its bigger than the grooves so you still have to work at getting the grease out. So using it became more time and work than I wanted. I don’t know if I can take it back but I’d like to.
Thank you for taking your time to post. This really helped me make my decision when I was on the fence about getting one.
I have this and use it every single day, we no longer turn on the oven for daily meals. I don’t pay for gas in my apt so oven is better for like a turkey. But I made baked apples in this, heat my meals from day before, air fry panko chicken, I did a grilled turkey breast, coquito, flan, whole fish, made a chicken noodle soup. It isn’t time consuming to clean because I use a lot of reynolds wrap or metal tins, cook in them and pop it out with the food. Oven still clean. Only issue I come across is when the meat is too high and partially hits the heating part in the lid. That causes smoke. So you have to make sure the lid closes and doesn’t touch anything. Beyond that, easy. I can’t wait for the recipes I can do on Thursday lol.
I have one I bought a month ago at Sams when it was on sale. I love mine. I toast, and grill. I have not had any trouble with smoke. I did grill hamburgers and chicken and they were so good. I’m learning by trial and error. Clean up I do by hand even though it says you can use dishwasher. Taste doesn’t taste fried but not charcoal grilled. More gas grill flavored.
