Okay, as a person who bought this last year because of the big hype advertised on this cup on here; I seriously not recommend this if you want your coffee or tea to say warm for more than an hour. These holiday cups are cute, but I’d rather use a contigo or hydroflask that will keep my drink warm for a longer period of time. My drink is Luke warm after an hour with the lid on when I use this cup.

I’m pretty sure these are not ment for hot liquid. I can say that they are great for cold products and fun as well.

I agree. My cold drinks are warm and my warm drinks cold SO quickly. And even though they are dishwasher safe, I always end up with moisture between the double walls…which they have a great warranty for…but if you don’t have a Tervis store close by, you’re on the hook for shipping and the code they give you doesn’t work on sale items (or it takes the amount off the original price of the item), so since I bought my original cups on sale, say 4 of them for $50, then I pay to send them in for warranty…minus $10 shipping…and can’t use the warranty code on anything on sale…I may end up getting 2 cups back…whose seals will fail and I’d have to jump through the same process to end up with ONE cup (which isn’t even enough to qualify for free shipping)…
I got one for myself last year and love it. My son’s teacher likes tea and these will make an awesome gift for her. Thanks! 🙂

I love all things Tervis! The regular cups can be used for hot or cold beverages not meant to be a thermos. I’m in South Florida and love that the cups don’t sweat. I have arthritis and find the cups awesome, easy to grip and light to hold.
Tervis makes a metal cup that is AWESOME!! My husband bought it for me last year & it is SO good @ keeping my coffee hot that I had to stop putting my coffee in it because it kept it So hot that I couldn’t drink it!! (lol) This cup seriously keeps anything you put hot in it hot, or cold in it cold till the next day. I’ve put ice tea in it & the ice is Still in it 24 hrs later! HOWEVER… here is what I’ve found that makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE… DO NOT EVER SOAK IT, ONLY WASH BY HAND( as it does state in directions, I don’t know if it soaks up waster between the walls or what, but I do know my husband soaked his & he couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t keep cold stuff cold & vise versa. Hope this helps??

I bought these last year too, and here’s my unsolicited opinions. The plastic ones are crap, i bought two for my kids (6&8), and both lids were broken within a week. My kids aren’t the destructive type. I bought two of the NFL stainless ones, also total crap. The labels started peeling within a week and I never used the dishwasher or anything. I don’t recommend them at all. By the way, none of these issues are covered under their warranty, so these were just a waste. That being said, I bought two of the stainless colored ones, and those have held up great. i would buy those again.
My last big complaint is i tried to review the NFL ones, to warn others that they peel. Upon submitting my review, I received an email explaining that it’s not their problem unless is a manufacturing defect, despite the fact that I wasn’t asking for any sort of compensation or replacement. And then i noticed that they didn’t post my review. Any company that refuses to post negative, HONEST reviews isn’t worth the time. I emailed them about this and they said it would be posted, but its been months and it’s not there. So buyer beware.

i HAVE ABOUT 15 OF THE STAINLESS STEEL ONES AND LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM. I AM A BIG WATER DRINKER AND IT IS SO COLD IT GIVES ME BRAIN FREEZES. (OUCH) MY MORNING PICK ME UP STAYS HOT LIKE IT SHOULD. NOT A BIG FAN OF THE PLASTIC ONES FOR KEEPING THINGS COLD BUT I STILL HAVE SOME AND THEY WORK FOR HOLDING MY DRINKLS
If you are looking for a tervis cup for hot drinks you need to get the stainless ones. We use them everyday & I make coffee for hubs in morning and it’s still hot later when he gets a chance to drink it.
