I bought some dinosaurs and a “fake” My little pony in the toy department that was 80% off too.
I saw the 80% off signs today and had a few things price checked. But, I didn’t end up buying anything, because I suspect that the stuff wasn’t scanning at 80% off. I don’t think that $0.89 was the correct price for a box of Red Hot candy canes or $0.54 for an other-brand chocolate advent calendar. They put up the new signs. But, years of experience has taught me that the register price updates stop at 70% off.
I was able to score some non food items at 80%. Original price $6.99, I paid $1.39. Items include play doh set, Dashing brand gifts, Avengers pin set etc.
Unfortunately the candies I picked up rang up full price so I ended up not buying them.
Still 70% off here. Talked to a sales clerk this morning and she was surprised it hadn’t gone down.
I got so much stuff! LEGO’s for under $2, barbies for $1, bath bombs and totes slippers and socks for $2-$3. Even Fortnite toys and Nerf for .99 I went last week when it was 70% and I went back today. There was a lot left! I’m set for upcoming birthday parties.
Wow! I would have loved some Legos for under $2. All the good stuff (just my opinion) was gone last week. All that is left (and there is a lot) is baby/toddler toys which we don’t need and the junk store branded stuff that I would still hesitate to buy at 90% so I didn’t go today. Bummer that 80% is as low as they are going to go. CVS, Target, Hobby Lobby have all already gone 90% and I got a lot of my stuff there.

I was at my local store when they opened at 7am. There was a man & woman waiting at the door. I have never seen two people grab carts and run through the store so fast! It looked like super market sweep or something (you only get that reference if your as old as I am). By the time I made it to the aisle at a normal persons speed, they were literally swiping the whole shelves into the carts with their arms. CRAZY! I managed to get maybe 5 things but they acted like I was in their way – It was rude, but also funny at the same time. I really hope they were donating some of that stuff!! I was just trying to stock the gift closet for nieces and nephews birthdays..
80% off rainbow dreams brand, slime, unicorn light ups good for Easter baskets. Also over the moon alien stuff for boys. Also got 2 remote control cars for the kiddos at $4 each. I had the aisles pretty much to myself. I think shoppers are waiting for 90%.
Manager at one store said this is it at 80%, and then it goes back to vendor.

Yes, my store also said there is no 90% this year. This is as low as it is going.
My store said no 90% as well, but I got a trunk full of toys at 80% off to donate next Christmas to foster kids.
I bought some of those rainbow and unicorn lights and putty for Easter baskets also. Great deals!

My store was pretty picked over when it hit 70%.
How is their slime? It always looked too wet. I bought slime that had dinosaurs in it after Easter and it was weird like hard gel not slime.
The super market sweep is pretty funny.
My store was 70% off last week. I stopped in to pick up a free photo print (deal posted on H2S) and ended up leaving with $55 worth of stuff. They had a very large selection of toys so I was able to stock up for kid birthdays, baby shower, Easter baskets and teacher gifts. I was so geeked when I left! Last year I made out like a bandit on hats, gloves, scarves and slippers. I didn’t see markdowns on those items yet.

My store was 70%. A couple people were buying out most of the toys and basically blocking the aisles making it almost impossible to even look. One of those times where you have to go all the way around the aisle and still can’t look at anything lol. I got a bag of Hershey kisses for 70% off and some Christmas lollipops that didn’t ring up correctly but I had to get out of there lol. I got a ton last year at 90%.
I was also told there will be no 90% off this year. I spent $20 because I had a coupon for 5000 points. This included some candy, nuts, a few toys. I noticed that a lot of the Disney & Marvel toys were only 70% off. I’ll probably check again tomorrow.
Your store is better than mine. My store has Disney items not discounted at all. Some of the Mickey & friends items were only 50% off. Winnie the Pooh & friends items were 70% off.
Only 70% here yesterday and the 70% off sign has a valid date until Jan 31st.
I’m too cheap to pay 20% of the original price. For holiday stuff that I do not really need (and no kids), it’s either 90% off or they can keep it. Thank you Walgreens!! You saved me a trip and some cash!!
I had a better luck at CVS that has their clearance at 90% off. Walgreens was pretty much out of most of their items. One of the gifts that I found rang up at 50% and store manager refused to adjust it to the advertised 70% off last Sunday.
Hallmark ornaments (like Harry Potter ones)only go down to 50% now 🙁 if you have a nice cashier he or she might manually change it to 80% off. So far only one place did it for me. Such a bummer they’re really cute ornaments, but not worth $4.50!
