Amazon Hiring 100,000 New Employees to Meet Surge in Online Shopping Demand
Looking for ways to make money?
If you’re looking for employment, Amazon recently announced plans to hire 100,000 additional warehouse and delivery workers to help handle the increase in online orders.
Through the end of April, the company will also be adding an extra $2 per hour for their current workers, which will bring the starting wage to $17/hour for many positions.
The company promises that you can start in as soon as seven days and that NO resume or previous work experience is required. If you’re interested in applying, visit the Amazon Delivers Jobs website and select your location.
Amazon’s commitment to increase pay through the end of April represents an investment of over $350 million in increased compensation for hourly employees across the U.S., Europe, and Canada.
Visit the Amazon blog for more details on their hiring efforts.
So, is this a long term position or they just hiring for the time needed till this virus passes (couple months)?
It looks as though these might be seasonal hires. This line is directly from their post: “We want those people to know we welcome them on our teams until things return to normal and their past employer is able to bring them back.”
It is a seasonal position and they can end it without notice. You are paid weekly.
