Apple Launches Free Coronavirus Screening Tool
In partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the White House, Apple just launched a new website and app to provide people with information and guidance regarding the coronavirus.
Both the website and the app offer a free online screening tool, information about the virus, and suggestions on when to seek testing or emergency care. The screening tool asks you questions about symptoms, recent travel, and contact with people who have been diagnosed with or exposed to the virus.
After completing the screening process, users receive the CDC’s recommendations for the next steps to take, including whether testing for COVID-19 is recommended. Apple cautioned in a press release that this “does not replace instructions from healthcare providers or guidance from state and local health authorities.”
The app and website also offer resources to help you stay informed and get the support you need. You’ll find answers to frequently asked questions about COVID-19 and get information from the CDC like best practices for washing hands, disinfecting surfaces, and monitoring symptoms.
These companies are offering freebies for front-line responders!
Now we have Dr. Apple to join Dr. Google!

If you have symptoms or think you may have been exposed, call your doc. Don’t rely on an app. Doc offices will do free screening via phone.
I down loaded it today. The first question asks if you have any of the symptoms on the list they give. If you answer yes. It tells you to call 911
Useless app
Thanks for posting.
You’re welcome, Tammy!
Honestly guys, sounds like a scam. There are many warnings about that…..apps for diagnostics, donating money. Beware of apps. I agree with IB, if you think you might have it, call your doctor please.

Check with your health insurance company for a telenurse or video doctor service it pays for. It may be on the back of your insurance card. Find out who handles testing in your area. In my area the county health Dept handles it and not your personal doctor. These are the details that it is critical you know in advance. Have a thermometer, blood pressure monitor, and most critically a pulse oxometer ready and know how to use them. Having the pulse oxometer readings will get you help much faster than just saying—I’m having trouble breathing.
