Disney is Releasing Reusable Face Masks | Preorder Now as High Chance of Selling Out
In light of the CDC’s recommendation for people to wear cloth face coverings in public, Disney is now selling reusable cloth face masks featuring Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars characters.
Disney’s cloth face masks are available in four-packs for $19.99, and they feature a wide range of characters from Frozen, Toy Story, Star Wars, the Marvel Universe and more.
Through September 30th, Disney will also donate all profits from US sales of these masks (up to $1,000,000) to MedShare with the goal of providing cloth face masks to children and families in need.
These non-surgical, non-industrial grade masks are machine washable so they can be reused. They are recommended for anyone ages 4 and up and come in small, medium, and large sizes. There is also a handy sizing guide on shopDisney.com to help you decide which size(s) you need.
These masks are expected to ship by June 15th, so pre-order now for the best selection! You will be notified via email when your masks are ready to ship.

Make sure you check the ship date. The ones I almost ordered weren’t expected until 6/29
…And they are probably shipping from China, so add another 3-4 weeks to that date!
too later, before that date I have to borrow bras from GF
We expect this item to be available by 06/29/2020. Pre-Order it now and you will be notified via email when it is ready to ship.
Pre-orders now for 7/15/2020 date. Disney keeps pushing pre-orders as demand is high. I don’t expect them to sell out, just the ship date is being pushed back now. Once they released the masks, the ship date was 6/15.
These are super cute! For others who are interested specifically in the Disney patterns, many etsy vendors have Disney patterns available as well so may be good to check out there, also. I purchased one yesterday and am happy to support local creative artists 🙂
Thanks for the tip, GisMom!
What are about the shipping? Is it free or 5.99 sorry I did not see it on the post. Thanks!
It’s always at the bottom of the post. Here you go: Shipping is free on orders of $75 or more with promo code SHIPMAGIC at checkout. Otherwise, shipping starts at $5.95.
Thank you!
Does anyone know where these are made? I did not find it. If made in China I will pass if made elsewhere I would love to have some for my Grandchildren…Thanks
Shipping from China.
Where are you getting this from? I don’t see it mentioned in the items’ description.
They are reusable and you’re going to be washing the masks anyway. If you’re concerned, the virus doesn’t stay on fabric that long according to research done.
I think it is because people no longer want to support the economy of China.
$20? Lol. You can get Disney ones that are WAY cuter and less than half the price on Etsy! And you would be supporting the local, US economy!
Well, you CAN order masks on Etsy. However, I placed 2 orders, with different vendors, for my family of 3, and they never shipped. Ended up canceling the orders (which wasn’t a problem) and found 2 people through Nextdoor who made us masks within a couple of days and at about 1/2 the price.
Yes-I had the same experience with Etsy. I purchased on 4/1 they made a shipping label on 4/10. My messages went unanswered-I had to file with my bank for refund today. I noticed the sellers feedback mentioning fast shipping from orders stating 7 days delivered for the same masks and some for no delivery. Sadly the week after I bought the artist raised the prices by $5 a pack and the higher priced orders were the one’s they seemed to fulfill (I learned this from reading several pages of ratings) I know it’s a busy time but orders should be filled in the order they come in 🙁 Thank you for the Nextdoor information.
Hi, can you ladies tell me which vendor you bought from? I’m afraid that I may have bought from the same vendor! I bought a Toy Story mask for my toddler and was hoping to get it in before his Dr appointment (he has severe asthma) however it STILL hasn’t shipped and she isn’t messaging me back!
You can fold up a bandana or even cut one of his T shirts to make a homemade no-sew mask. You Tube has great tutorials.
That seller needs to be flooded with negative reviews!
I have been mailing all mine out in 1-2 business days. I’m sorry for those who have had bad luck on Etsy. It hurts us all.
4 for $20, or $5 each. Pretty comparable to prices listed by locals where we live.
Half the price of the Etsy orders, not the Disney orders.
It’s $20
For four FYI. But I won’t be ordering since coming from China.
Doesn’t all Disney junk come from China?
Hopefully they will consider making it elsewhere now.
These are so cute! It is so understandable tho, the concerns about products made in China.
Made in China… Disney is going to have to start manufacturing in the USA or they’re going to lose a lot of bussiness
Yeahhhh… I think disney will survive
🤣 agree
I know. They will find some way to make money and this is just another disgusting way to take advantage of the situation. Being such a wealthy company that pays their employees minimum wage. So many living in their car to work at Disney World. It’s pathetic.
why? 90% of the products you purchase in the united states are manufactured in other countries, mainly China. Decades ago, the rich in this country learned they get richer by outsourcing our manufacturing. It isn’t easy to buy made in USA products and you pay a pretty penny for them. I have zero issue buying products made in China, I didn’t stop buying made in Africa products when AIDS came, I didn’t stop buying Made in Mexico products when H1N1 came. I haven’t stopped ordering packages from New York where the virus was the worst in the US.
I think the issue is not that Covid came from China. The problem is that much (most?) of the factories in China basically use slave labor and horrible working conditions. Sometimes it’s inevitable but I’ve tried avoiding “Made in China” products for years now.
Agree
Not because of COVID19, like you said most products we buy are made in China, why not make all those products here and make jobs for Americans who need them more than ever, you think we can’t be making these masks here In the USA for the same amount of money?
it’s too costly to make these products here, so you have a choice of paying pretty penny for American products or get the same products from China for much less.
The companies would have to pay the worker’s more and lose profits. They pay slave wages in China and thus make a larger profit. If you want American made only, then you have to be willing to pay more.
It has nothing to do with the virus and you’re free to shop wherever you wish.
Yes! That’s why we quit buying from Disney.
I love the designs but I’m torn because I’m not sure if they’ll even be needed by the time we receive them.
Pretty sobering article

I work in research and most pharmaceuticals take 15yrs to develop. It’s a pretty big deal. Hopefully there are learnings from ther viruses to create an effective (and safe) vaccine quicker.
Expect to wear masks now almost all year round like they do in Asian countries. It’s a whole new world now, hun.
How do you all know it’s coming from China?
Right? I read through the entire description and there is nothing on their site that specifies where they are made. I ordered the Pixar set for my family! The hubs is obsessed with Forky and Mike Wazowski will compliment my MU hat perfectly, lol.
I’m confused too why people commented that these are made in china. I don’t see that mentioned in the items’ description.
Are these just for children?
No there are three different sizes.
With everything going on, I like this idea but I think we should focus more on products that are US made. Thank you for the cute mask idea but I agree with others that you can get some local ones who are actually keeping food on their tables and utilities paid or the ones on Etsy. I know I will get a backlash and I’m not trying to be mean I just think it’s important to promote more products that are made in the USA
100%!
Agreed!!
If some ppl are so concerned if it’s from China, why not just make your own. Simple
It doesn’t matter where they come from they will be safe. Disney is donating masks and money for everyone made..Etsy doesn’t do that. Disney is donating one million cloth face masks for children and families in underserved and vulnerable communities across the U.S. that will be distributed by MedShare (www.medshare.org). Disney will also donate all profits from the sales in the U.S. of Disney’s cloth face masks to Medshare, up to $1 million, now through September 30, 2020. And NO WHERE does is say, Made in China.
“It doesn’t matter where they come from” Really? OMG
Disney is known for their use of slave labor. It matters. These are likely made by an actual modern day slave. I am heartbroken what this company does in the name of a few children having fun because other children work in sweat shops. It matters.
Yay Disney! But they are ripping people off with all the Disney Hype. There are local people on my community doing the same thing Disney is proposing. Of course it’s a much smaller scale, but they are doing it RIGHT NOW, in the peak of everything. Where is their recognition? Where is their cheerleading team? Now Disney tries to steal the thunder. I will keep my money local. I will keep my thank yous and my praise local. This is just another way for Disney to brain wash Americans
I have bought masks locally, but also ordered these.
As a teacher, I think these will be fun for the kids to see me wear since most likely we will have to wear masks when schools start back. These will make that less stressful and a bit fun.
Daily worn masks will be like socks and underwear – best to start out clean and fresh each day! Then toss in the laundry when take it off.
So need a good week’s worth on hand.
I had not thought of them for school! Great idea, Amy!
I was worried about the long wait for shipping but also thought these will be good to have for school too.
❤️ this idea!! I picked up the Minnie/Mickey pack. Thanks H2S!!
I rather support local and small companies. And they are way overpriced!
Honestly, I agree about supporting local. However, these are not at all overpriced. These are the cheapest I’ve seen for non handmade masks. $20 for 4 is a steal!
I wish you could choose your sizes in the pack of 4 though. I have 4 different sizes in my family, so it would cost me $60.
I had to get three different ones, too.
Pre-ordered. They are so cute. Thank you!
You bet!
The Star Wars ones in large and medium are already showing sold out 🙁 Those are the only ones that I wanted, hope they restock soon!
They go in and out of stock. They are in stock now.
Thank you for letting me know! I was able to place my order
The ones I want are sold out. I hope they restock. My kids would love these.
They go in and out of stock! I just finally got all of the sizes I needed.
It’s not opening up a link so I can ore order !! Help
I am not having trouble opening it on a desktop. If you are using a mobile device, try opening it on a browser.
Are y’all serious about these “made in China” comments?? I’m all for purchasing locally to support small businesses, but everyone scared of items from China now, please tell me you all realize that the fabric bought from the craft stores is mostly from China too, right?? Lbvvvs
Look up slave labor. You may not be so flippant if you read about the slavery in China and how you are supporting it by your purchases.
You are so right. Just a side note, fabric mask is not enough to protect ppl from Covid19 (they need those filter inserts if for fabric masks).
The intention of a fabric mask is not to protect the wearer, but to protect others from the wearer. It’s like you’re taking precautions as if you were contagious. The reason the WHO is asking people to wear cloth masks is because medical grade masks need to be reserved for healthcare workers who are most susceptible to catching the virus from others.
Two layers of cotton fabric are not as 95 masks, but they are somewhat effective. The aerosol droplets in public aren’t quite the same as they are during intubation and other hospital procedures, where N95 masks are a necessity. If two people are wearing cloth masks made from 2 cotton layers each, it’s actually more effective than you’d think. Combine it with social distancing, and it’s extremely effective. Not t mention that if one person is wearing a mask it doesn’t protect the wearer so much as it protects other people from the wearer, who may transmit the virus asymptomatically.
Yay! I was able to order the ones I wanted. They won’t ship until later but I’m sure we will still need to use.
It might not be required to wear them, but I think people now are more cautious and will continue wearing them especially in cold months when the second wave is expected.
Not buying anything from Disney after watching this docu on youtube: Out of the Shadows. Sort by view count to find it
Right!! Out of the Shadows is a must watch! Disney was not a good man at all and I cringe when I see those mouse ears.
Does anyone have the code for free shipping for signing up for emails?
I signed up fir the code and gave not received it yet. 24 hours now
Of course they are. 😂
Definitely check out Nextdoor.com in your local area. You can do porch pickup or drop off, then wash before wearing.
While I agree with the concern over bad labor conditions in many parts of China, I’m confused as to why it only applies to this post? Cheap Old navy dresses and $10 cents of style cardigans and so on aren’t any more ethical, unless I’m really missing something…
Thanks for posting! With 6 kids (ages 7 and under), I’ve been looking for masks that they may keep on (if we ever venture out of the house). I imagine we’ll be needing masks for quite some time…
