Johnny Was also has cotton ($25 for 5) or silk ($40 for 6) masks, and will match your purchase with the same number donated to medical professionals (mostly these will be worn over N95 or surgical masks). Not as cheap as Old Navy, but cheaper than Athleta and they have fun patterns and an internal filter.

Should I buy pleated, like this? Or the darth Vader style? Lol Anyone have a preference of style? Or can tell me if one is more comfortable than the other, for adults? For kids?
I make the pleated kind. I tried 3 patterns for the flat shaped ones and they all slid down my nose and made folks touch their faces, so not worth it for me. I think in the end it is a personal preference!

I think the pleated kind gives you more leeway to adjust to the contours of your particular face. If you possibly can get one that uses a pipe cleaner etc to make it adjustable to fit snugly against your nose. If it is gapping open at the nose and your cheeks there’s little point to wearing a mask. If you can find a seller that makes different sizes that’s a big plus. No masks for children under age two since they can’t tell you that they aren’t getting enough air. Personal preference if you want an opening left for a special filter or you want extra material sewn in. If you can afford it get several styles.
It is complete personal preference. If you can, try or buy one in each style. I have made 4 different styles, some with filter pockets & nose piece opening for pipe cleaner and using different fabrics for my family and extended family.
Overwhelmingly folks are preferring the fitted or Darth Vader as you say mask for non slipping and less fabric in the way when talking.
Also if you wear glasses or sunglasses when outside you may find a different style works better than another.
Another tip for glasses is putting a piece of tissue between bridge of nose and mask and it traps the moisture of your exhale and stops glasses from fogging
Buy local. Check FB or Nextdoor app. Many of the people sewing are using the money they make to cover the cost of supplies to donate masks to hospitals or essential businesses.
Does anyone know if the Old Navy ones have a wire at the nose to adjust for fit? The description doesn’t say on their website.

They smell & both pkgs are identical. Burgundy with white dots & navy with white dots so disappointed
ordered these on May 5th, estimated ship was June 5th. Now it shows not shipping until July 7th. So be prepare for a 2 month wait if you order these.
