We had this pool last summer and it worked great for my four kiddos! The water fills to about the 2′ mark so it was a nice height for my little ones, and great for me to sit with the hubs and relax while they played. I’m pretty sure the Michigan Aldi group I’m in said they were sold out through the entire state just after opening on Sunday.
Pools are super hard to come by everywhere this year! Walmart is sold out. I needed to replace our frame pool after a good 7 years of use and I had to stalk Target’s website to get one that I could buy for store pickup and drove 90 min each way to get it.

Our Aldi’s ad said “starting Sunday June 7.” We were there when the doors opened only to find that they had put them out the day before and they were all gone.
Fyi I bought a intex blow up chair for my husband 2 days ago from Aldi….he sat in it….he weighs 160lbs…and it gushed air at the seams and was flat in minutes!! We went back and Aldi in Michigan said….sorry on exchanges or refunds due to the virus!!!! So if you buy stuff there in Michigan beware!

I just used tarps that I got from Walmart and they’re working well.
Don’t forget to check hardware stores if you’re having a hard time getting a pool. I was able to find one at Menards last month. Same dimensions as this pool, although $10 more.

I spotted this in the ad preview last week and actually took the day off work tomorrow to be up there before they open to be first at the door to get one. We’ll be devastated if they’re gone already because they put them out early. Going to call today when they open to check.

Have read a lot about some money grubbing folks going around and buying up all these type of pools to resell at big markups to desperate folks as there is a big demand for it as many city pools are not opening and beach trips are not on for some and they need something for the kids to cool off with and have fun, too. Seems unscrupulous to me. I saw a photo on reddit where one guy was at Menards and had 20 pools in a couple of carts. He probably would have gotten more if there were more in stock! Pools are the latest addition to the toilet paper (and baking yeast) game!
Yes, this is going on everywhere. It is so frustrating! They are buying them all and then marking them up 4X+ retail. They aren’t even waiting until they get home to post them. We’ve seen it in the store parking lot! They should be ashamed of themselves. So now I have my 4 kids wishing that I can find them a pool anywhere, but it’s pretty much impossible!

I buy a 10’×30″ pool at Big Lots every spring for 55.00 on sale. It includes a filter which is a total life saver. I agree, it’s not a 10 min. set up! Takes about 3-4 hours to fill over 1000 gallons of water! For a ground cover I usually buy a tarp. At the end of the season it’s easiest to just throw the pool away.

I showed up at my store an hour early and there was already a line!!!! About 30 minutes till opening, they came out and handed out “tickets”. Which was helpful because people in the back of the line were able to leave. Also helpful so there wasn’t a mad rush when they opened the doors since the pools were already spoken for. Our store had 14 pools, my neice and I got #12 and 13!!!!! I felt so bad watching people continue to show up. Oh, and I heard that at another store, the pools were gone before opening. When asked HOW, customers were told the employees got them all.
I had almost the identical experience in IN this morning. I got up early and drove an hour to the nearest Aldi. I was there 45 minutes before store opening and there was already a line! They had 17 pools and I got the 11th ticket. Yay!
I live near the ALDI RT 1 in Laurel, MD. The employee said none in stock. at 11 am.

I live in Chicago, last week I went to buy a intex dino pool, I was there at 9:10 (they open at 9) got inside like 9:16 and they were sold out ! How early do you suggest to get there before they open?
I would actually check prior to when they are scheduled to come out. I know my stores down here in North Texas often have the items out ahead of schedule. I’ve seen stuff set out a whole week ahead. I went to my Aldi on Wednesday morning only to find out the store luts out the sale items on Tuesday by 2pm. The manager said 1 man came in and brought all 6 pools and said he had gone 2 other stores and brought all the pools as well. I don’t understand why the manager didn’t limit him so other people could get one. He checked 4 or 5 others stores for me and they were all sold out.
