This SportsMask features a three-layer design that utilizes high-performance Under Armour materials to create a structure that sits off the nose and mouth which allows better airflow and added comfort.

The moldable nose-bridge helps secure the mask in place on the face which reduces airflow to the eyes and in turn helps to prevent glasses from fogging up!

Plus, they’re available in FOUR sizes for the best and optimum fit for everyone! Be sure to check guidelines on measurements so that you can order the right size for you as these are final sale and no returns or exchanges are permitted.

Three Layers of Comfort and Safety!

These masks have layers with a purpose:

  1. The first layer is a lightweight fabric that has air pockets for structure, so it can stay off your mouth and nose for better airflow.
  2. The second layer is a breathable middle layer that lets air through but makes it hard for moisture and sweat to pass.
  3. The third layer is made with Under Armour’s Iso-Chill fabric which feels cool against the skin and conveniently stretches to the contours of your face.

Even better, these masks come with a washable, anti-microbial carrying pouch with locker tag to mark your name or number! Sweet!

Plus, they’re treated with PROTX2, a non-metal antimicrobial technology that has been shown in laboratory tests to destroy COVID-19!

*These masks will be under review for FDA certification this summer. Under Armour also has a patent pending on the mask’s construction and design.

These are not just your ordinary cloth masks, these masks are a culmination of 13 prototypes that have been in the works with guidance from medical experts and athlete feedback since mid-March!

“At Under Armour, we always want to be part of the solution, especially during this extremely challenging time. We specifically designed this mask for athletes and for all of us who want to exercise and train while also keeping ourselves, and those around us, safe.” – Patrik Frisk, CEO of Under Armour

Do they come in kids sizes? My daughters are runners and adult face masks are too big

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

HI Rachael! I do find a size tip guide on the product page when you scroll down a bit. Hoping that might help!

  2. CJ

Great idea, but so pricey 🙁

Ugh I dont see in kids sizes I wanted one for my son

  4. K

I’m confused, why would you need a mask for running? Sounds like another company just trying to profit from the pandemic. How many people do you actually encounter running outside? Lol

    • Vanessa

I agree. Where I live, you can go running or walking, without coming into close contact with anyone else. Whoever’s exercising at the same time, know to practice social distancing.

    • kelsburnit

My husband plans to use his at work. He works in a plant that gets very hot but has to wear a mask. Hope this is better for him.

    • Ashley

      Agreed!

    • Kathleen

Because studies have been done that the virus/droplets can travel 25+ feet when someone is running and forcefully expelling the air

      • Anne

That’s exactly right. When you’re breathing harder, you’re breathing farther!

      • Ellen

        I agree! Stupid product.

    • kris t

At first I thought the same thing, but people will start working out in gyms too. So maybe it will help with distancing the machines.

    • Erica

Here in Vegas you can find many people running or walking outside, in the parks, everyday, since the pandemic started 😊

    • Meranda

This would also be a great mask to wear while working out once more gyms open up.

    • mommyx4

Where we live in socal gyms are allowed to reopen but guest must wear face mask at all times so if u want to go to the gym this will be a great mask

    • Kristi

Agreed! People need to realize how dangerous it is breathing in and out through these masks! Get some fresh air when you are outside!!

      • eadybakegirl

Before the pandemic there were those training mask that elevated the oxygen output for people training. I used to giggle when I saw guys at the gym with them. They would look like Bane from Batman.

    • Ellen

      I agree! Stupid product.

  5. Roma

The running masks have been an effective tool for training. Now with the pandemic extra safety…but these will come in handy at the gym! Thank you for the post!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re very welcome, Roma!

  6. Carrie

What an awesome idea. It may allow for some school sports to happen this fall if this works out. I am super hopeful as my middle schoolers live for the balance that athletics provides!

    • Lo

I’m in Ohio. Tennis and football conditioning has already started. Tennis is outdoors but don’t know if football is doing weight training. I’ve also seen baseball at the parks

      • rochellemcgee

Yup, sports have started up here in my county in FL. Most kids that played sports are back at it. We lost a few in Little League, but most of them because of the god awful heat (LL season usually finishes in May).

    • C

Honestly I don’t think it’s a good idea to start sports back up… the germs/virus aren’t just in your orifices… so say when a QB is infected, touches the ball, hands it off, the running back now has the virus, gets tackled (now the tackler has it), so on and so forth… or say volleyball- server has the virus (now it’s on the ball and bam! The whole team has touched the ball and now everyone has the virus)… there’s basically contact and/or close proximity in all sports (plus you touch your face to wipe off sweat, make adjustments, etc), so a virus will spread like wildfire (and with up to a 2 week incubation period it will then go through the school like wildfire and to the families and then the community)… they really need to break out the video they made for schools on how viruses spread where they put the “virus” (really just a bioluminescent spray you can only see under black light) on 2 kids (just their hands) in a class and at the end of the day blacklit everyone in the school and all the surfaces- it was EVERYWHERE and every kid had the “virus”- really a demo on how the flu and other viruses spread and how important sterilization of schools is important, especially during flu season

  7. Amy

I’m sorry….as a RN I think this is crazy!!!! Fresh air is SO much butter for you and your immune system than rebreathing your carbon dioxide waste! Healthy people should NOT be wearing masks!!!!

    • Gemma

      I totally agree!!

    • Lisa

I agree as well!! Why wear a mask out in fresh air , especially when it is 110 degre5or more? Seems dangerous.

      • Ashley

        It is!!! 😭

Wait until research comes about about it. Guarantee it’s in the works!

    • Ashley

Fellow RN here and I agree 100%.

Even if there is actual benefit of wearing a mask, there is 0 justification for wearing it outdoors when you aren’t on top of other people, or while you’re in your own vehicle. 🤦‍♀️ I saw a lady yesterday wearing a mask and gloves while driving. Why?!

      • dylanfan

Maybe she left the grocery store and is heading somewhere else she needs a mask on for? Why touch it to take off then put it back on? But in the end does it really matter to you why? If anything she is being cautious about the her health and others.

        • Mara

It is convenient to keep the mask on when going from one place to another, but unfortunately not safe. Wearing a mask does effect your lower peripheral vision. So best not to wear when driving.

      • Cheryl S

I have to wear a mask at work and have found my self halfway home before thinking to take it off. Other drivers may be people who were just at work or the store, too, and forgot to take it off.

    • Kathleen

I’m sorry that, as a medical professional, you are not up to date with the WHO and CDC recommendations for helping to slow the spread of the pandemic, especially as more than 116,000+ people, in the US alone, have died already in the last few months

      • rochellemcgee

It seems you might just not understand the current recommendations. WHO: 60+ and for those unable to socially distance; CDC: again, in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. For 99% of runners, I doubt social distancing is a problem. FWIW, I know 3 RNs and a PT, all of whom don’t wear a mask (except when they’re on duty in the hospital, of course) and none would advocate mask wearing in an outside environment.

    • StephB

Totally agree, Amy! My husband is a RN and he feels the same. A friend who is a nurse was telling me that they are having nurses get bad headaches, have drowsiness, getting dizzy, and lightheaded from wearing masks all day and breathing in carbon dioxide. Feel so bad for them. 😥

      • Trisha

Yes everyday wear 95 mask. Mask on top of that. A shield then a gown. It’s ridic

    • Trisha

      I agree and I’m a nurse too

    • Maria

Tell it! Listen to those who know…

    • SR625

      Thank you for stating this!

    • nurselexi

100% agree! RN here as well.. it so funny how everyone knows what’s best with their google degree lately 😂

      • Staci

Athletes use masks to reduce air intake. Reducing oxygen makes breathing more laborious and can build lung function in athletes. I would think that most people who go to the gym or exercise outside are of average athletic ability. Lowering oxygen levels can be dangerous. No degree needed to figure that out.

    • Jill

Amy, I would hate for you to be my nurse. Stop the spread to others. It’s the right, moral and kind thing to do. I always thought all nurses were angels but on this panel not so much.

      • DJ

Amy, I would be HONORED to have you be my nurse. Thanks to all of you nurses on here and your spouses for working to keep us healthy.

      • Ashley

Yes, I’d love for Amy to be my nurse as well. I want a nurse who tells me the truth and not just what I want to hear to make me feel good. 🙃

      • AGoodall

Jill, you are rude. “I would hate for you to be my nurse….” I’m sure she wears a mask and follows her hospital/clinic’s guidelines while caring for others. Because she’s not a sheeple, and she does what she feels is best outside of work; we are persecuting others?! 🙄This site is so much better than this. The passive aggressive “I thought all nurses were angels” is rude. I’m also an RN, and let me tell you I have worked my butt off this pandemic. I think I speak for all of us that we are concerned about the virus, and have taken every precaution possible while working. You don’t see me on here telling you that YOUR opinion is rude… so stay in your own lane. Spread some positivity, and have a good weekend!

        • AGoodall

*your opinion is wrong; not rude

    • wifeandmomof3

      Thank you!!!!! I agree 100%

    • Anna

Thanks for commenting,I just got the worst sinus infection and have felt terrible and this has never happened before wearing these stupid masks. I totally agree with trying to keep distance but this is getting ridiculous.

    • Kim Stuart

I agree. I mountain bike..cant breathe with them on.

    • Ellen

      Totally agree!

  8. Beth

On another note, I’ve found that putting a strip of Kleenex on the bridge of my nose inside my cloth mask prevents fogging of my glasses. The Kleenex absorbs the moisture from your breath.

    • CJ

Awesome tip! I also read if you rinse your glasses with go water and let them air dry before heading for the store it helps. The one time I did it, it did help…problem is I never remember!!! A tissue I can do! Thanks

    • Jenn.Weir

I love you, Amy! Thank you for your courageous words and the important work you do!

  9. MCouzens

I would buy for my son if you didn’t have to wait until August for it to ship. His summer job will be over by then.

  10. Sdavis

Why don’t they make all mask breathable! Not just for running! I sweat like crazy under mine and I’m not running!!

  11. Mara

How unhealthy is it for a child or teenager to wear a mask every day while playing sports? No studies needed, just plain common sense. Parents, I hope you all stand up for your kids and stop that from happening at your schools.

    • Erin mi

      🙄

    • wifeandmomof3

I agree! This is just upsetting. If you’re sick stay home. We know too many who’ve been passing out from heat and wearing a mask. Now this! I saw someone with a hoody, riding a bike, glasses and mask on, 103’ outside. Explain to me this.

      • Amanda

Not everyone has symptoms who have covid-19 and are contagious! I hope you were aware of this before now….

        • wifeandmomof3

Yep aware. Aware too of what’s really going on.

          • Amanda

            What is really going on?

    • Zara

So true! So sick of these people who listed to dr google instead of real Doctors!

  12. Zara

It is so unhealthy and dangerous to run or walk outside with a mask!!!!! Stop listening to those who just trying to profit from this pandemic, listen to real doctors. So sad to see these poor little kids running around or riding their bikes with their masks on instead of breathing a fresh air 🙁

    • wifeandmomof3

Exactly! No way would I send my kid to school with a mask on. And seeing them in sports with mask. Wait till kids get sick from lack of air.

  13. Cece

Now I would not but this for outdoors, but for work I would.

    • Amanda

Yess! I think some are hung up on this only being for running outdoors but this seems brilliant for work!

  14. E

My parents are in a state where masks are mandated if out in public. My mom is already melting in the mask to go to the grocery store. If there wasn’t such a long wait to ship I’d consider getting her one if they are really breathable and don’t fog glasses! Hoping their gov gets some sense and lets people start deciding for themselves if they want to wear a mask or not.

    • Amanda

It is not about someone’s inconvenience, it is about the spread to OTHERS! Hopefully this becomes apparent that your inconvenience should not override mass infections and fatalities.

    • MamaV

This selfish thinking is why the virus is still spreading quickly in the US. I live in Germany and masks are required in public places like grocery stores. There are new cases that still pop up, but the curve has flattened out, and it is much more manageable.

  15. Jean

People are understandably concerned about this virus but we should NOT be breathing in CO2 all day everyday either!!

  16. Katie

So glad that there is this option! Not everyone has wide open places to run in and this is a great option! Thanks Hip2Save!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re SO welcome!

  17. Sara

I’m a respiratory therapist. Wear a mask when needed! It’s important!

    • A

Thank you for saying something! I feel like a lot of healthcare professionals who are not in this specialized field have become experts in this area and throw around their title. I should ask them about radiology, dermatology, etc since they seem to have a knowledge in specialized fields….

  18. BuffaloGal

My mask protects you and your mask protects me. Have a little common courtesy to you fellow human. I get it, it’s uncomfortable to wear a mask, but no one is dying from wearing one. It’s easy to say stay home when sick, but people go to work sick. People send their kids to school sick. Sickness can come on at any point even with the best intentions. I’ve taken care of asymptomatic COVID + patients. Would you want to interact with my non mask self if you knew I was potentially exposed? I was (hopefully)protected, but what about the person who interacted with my patient before they knew they were positive if no masks were warn?

  19. Tonya

I’m an RN. I’ve worked in the operating room for years. You cannot enter an OR without one. Aside from breaks, masks are worn for 8, 10, 12 hour shift. We wear primarily surgical masks. Surgical masks and homemade masks post little to no risk for carbon dioxide poisoning. The general public is not wearing medical grade N95 respirator masks (like the green ones worn by medical professionals in ICUs, ERs, ORs, etc – if they are fortunate enough to have supply). These are worn in medical settings to protect healthcare workers from airborne disease. These masks require fit testing prior to each use, and are so effective that after passing a fit test, you can no longer smell scents in the environment. The general surgical masks and homemade masks recommended by the CDC, WHO, and health authorities around the world have the primary purpose of preventing your respiratory droplets from exposing others near you. A secondary benefit is a slight reduction in inhaled droplets you may be exposed to. It is detrimental and disappointing to witness my peers suggesting that surgical masks and homemade masks cause carbon dioxide poisoning, or suggest that they are ineffective. Peer reviewed medical studies from all over the world for decades have proven time and time again the efficacy of specific masks with respect to the spread of disease. Simple conclusion: they minimize spread of disease. I understand confusion when you hear your friends working in healthcare suggest otherwise. But let me ask you this: do you think for one second that any for profit health insurance company or healthcare facility would purchase and/or offer compensation for any item which was not necessary? No. They would not and do not make frivolous purchases. Hospitals purchase them and health insurance covers the cost. My sincerest apologies to those of you who are being misled. https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/health/coronavirus/misleading-claims-facemasks-carbon-dioxide/507-98df2a7c-9eca-4c75-a341-728561d32962

    • Amanda

I appreciate you taking the time to write a factual response with a link versus your peers opinionated responses. Also, please remember if masks could cause carbon dioxide poisoning why would it be safe for a surgeon and staff to wear them while performing a surgery if they could have the possibility of fainting….
