How do these compare to the Old Navy adult and kids masks? Would love to know the comparison. Thanks
These are a bit thinner than the Old Navy ones and a bit easier to breathe through (sounds like a plus until you think about it…maybe not as effective?) I bought the adult small and they are a bit smaller than my Old Navy (ON) ones, a plus for me as the ON ones are a bit baggy on me. The Target kids size are a bit bigger than ON, as the ON ones are a bit small on me but I can fit these. For my 10 year old, both fit well on her.
See, I think it’s the opposite – Target mask seems like a better seal and Old Navy seems more breathable. Maybe it comes down to face shape. I felt like the Target mask ran big at first, but it shrank in the first couple of washes. S/M still fits me well and I have a pretty standard face.
What’s a standard face? (I just have to giggle a little at the phrase!)
I DEFINETLY AGREE REGARDING THE SIZE OF THE TARGET MASKS. They have a looser fit overall.
My husband wears the adult size and the child size fits me well— I have had a hard time finding ones that fit. These are cotton which is good because they are not as hot too.
I bought these for my 7 year old and they are great! They fit him well and he doesn’t seem to mind wearing them. Such a good price I ordered two more packs!
I wish they had one with a nose wire!
I bought these and they’re fine for non-glasses. They’re thinner than my homemade (by others) masks, but easier to breathe through.
On Etsy you can buy iron on nose wires!
I like the 2/$4 masks. I’ve tried several kinds over the past few months, and I like the way these fit me. They are a good breathable fabric, and I don’t get hot wearing them.
They also have the slot to add a filter which is good. They are cotton and made pretty good.
I have these and like them too. Does anyone know what filter would fit and where to get them at?
I heard you can use a coffee filter

They are called PM2.5 filters. Vera Bradley sells the filters. Also Amazon.
After trying many different kinds, my kids and I like these masks the best!
I got the adult s/m for me and they were way too big. I hand sewed some pleats in it and tied knots on the ear strings and it fits great now. My husband has a big head and thry fit him great.
I found kids and adults fabric face masks for $10 at a local Costco store. They are both three packs and with a nose wire. I think they are good quality. My kids 8, 5, and 2 seem to like them.
And they have adjustable ear pieces as well.
I picked up a pair of small/med the other day due to that that was all they had. They do run small. I ended up giving them away to the kids & they love them. I was able to pick up a pair in size large on another visit & they were a great fit. The masks are very well made. I did wash them several times already & their still just like new. Great value, if only they were made in America. Still though they are some of the best value I have found.
Tried the kid masks – too big for my preschooler, but actually fit my smallish adult head really well!
My daughter is 16 and wears the kids size or the s/m, but prefers the kid size! I never paid attention to it but guess she has a small-ish face too!
I’m the lone wolf here I guess. My husband and I both don’t like these. The s/m ones are way too big on me and the l/xl are way too small on him. Ha. They are cheap and will do in a drive by situation but I wouldn’t be able to wear them for more than a few minutes.
I bought several packs for my family. The child size mask fits me since I have small face. For my children (12 and 8 yo), I have to adjust the ear loop but the mask itself fits perfectly fine. My husband wears the adult size S/M. I like that these have filter pocket. In the past I used the blue shop towel as the filter. Right now I’m using meltblown filter bought from Ebay.
The Mad Engine are my families favorite masks right now. They are like a soft T-shirt! Bonus my kids seem to fuss with them less than other masks. I just bought a couple extra packs in anticipation of school.
These are the only masks I use now…they ship quickly and you can’t beat the price. I like that you can use them with a filter too. They’re big but it actually works for me since I wear glasses. I’ve found that I get less fog with these than others.
I bought Kid size for my 3 & 6 yr old and It was way to big. Tried on and they fit me perfect. I went to a local boutique that is selling masks for preschool and elementary and loved it. She has shields and mask for kids that have the wire on nose and has extenders on the side of mask. Glad to be able to find these as I’ve spent so far $100 on me and kid mask as our area is required to were and kids will have to wear when returning in the fall!
I bought these for my 5 and 8 year olds and they were too big for both of them! I wish I could find some that were smaller. Maybe I’ll try old navy
I really like the family pack from Petunia Pickle-Bottom. The kids sizes were able to fit both my 3yo and my 9yo. Plus, I like that the elastic does not go behind the ears.
I bought these last time & while they are thin, very breathable. Has the filter pocket & i was able to insert the bread tie wire through the top so that I could bend it a bit & not feel suffocated. Masks are not the best thing for people with anxiety or suffer from claustrophobia & these are thin enough that they don’t bother me even after adding filter.
