Be careful overlapping or stacking used masks. That’s easy cross contamination. I’d avoid doing anything like the first image unless those are for organizing freshly laundered masks only
I assumed they would only be fresh masks. I always throw my mask in the wash after using it, that’s what I bought a 10 pack from Old Navy for, I have a fresh one for everyday.
I was under the impression that this would be a great idea for storing clean masks, not used ones. Since I have an issue with fabric softener, I will also use this to dry my masks after washing them in hot water.
Hi, Belle! That’s my picture. We only use that for freshly laundered masks. We don’t put ours in the dryer and just hang them up. Once we take one down and use it, we immediately put it in the washer.
Yet everyone still fingers and smells the produce-the horror. š±
Cool I have those & will use it for that! With 22 mask, I am glad to have a way to hang them up. I normally wash & bag them up separately until its time to wear them each day to work!
This is such a great idea ! Thank you !
You are welcome!
We have a drying rack and Iāve been clothespinning my freshly washed masks to that to try. I use the DT scarf hangers to hang up all my clean tank tops.
I put a wall basket on the door to the garage with our clean masks. It looks good and it’s a reminder to take one on our way out! Hope this helps someone!
Thanks for the tip! We love it, Lisa!
I got a wired basket from the dollar tree and I store the clean ones there. After I wash them I put them in ziplock bags. We have 5 people in our family so I have their names on the bags ( 5 bags for each one of us). Then as soon as we walk through the door we drop the used ones in the laundry basket.
I dry them on an ikea octopus rack and then bring them to the car and put them in a ziplock bag labeled āclean masksā.
Great ideas!! Thank you!
We just ordered a case for all of us at work! What a great idea.
How cool! These are really great to have!
My husband made me the cutest mask hanger. He took a rectangular wood piece and stained it.. we have 2 robe style hooks that each have 2 hooks on one side that we hang all the clean masks on (with clean stenciled above) – the other side spaced placed 2 more robe style hooks with Dirty stenciled over it..(total of 8 hooks for masks) and then I picked up a little wire basket from Dollar Tree that he screwed in above where we drop my sons clean masks since he wears the masks that you pull up from your neck. Dirty masks do not touch any clean masks. The mask hanger is screwed into the wall in the laundry room as you walk into the garage. It turned out super cute and I now have a place to put all my masks!
I love that! Do you mind submitting this for one of our Friday posts here?
Can you tell me where those white masks are from? I like the look of those and Iām always looking for more comfy masks! Thanks so much! This is a brilliant idea.
Sure! Those are the Froot of the Loom masks from this post! I am able to die tie and decorate them with fabric paint I got at the Dollar Tree. If you don’t need that many, you can get similar ones here.
A washing idea…I put my “dirties” in a lingerie bag before tossing into the washer/dryer. Keeps them together.
Thanks! I love it, Mia!
I’ve been using this exact hanger idea for a couple of months now. Clean, laundered, dryer dried, ironed, ( and yes you should for extra protection and comfort), masks go on the hanger on the coat rack by the front door. A small entry table next to it holds a basket with disposable masks, hand sanitizer, sunscreen. Also on the coat rack are two small stadium have which have with everything we need for protection, including gloves and disinfectant wipes for an easy grab when getting in the car. It makes it so much easier to be safe. Used masks go directly in a paper bag on the washer until the next load is ready. It works for us. And wash in a mesh bag to avoid tangle.
Should read, two small stadium bags which have everything…Sorry.
We store our freshly washed masks in cheap plastic pencil boxes! Each of our family members have their own different colored pencil box so we know which box/masks belongs to who and we can just grab a clean mask for the day and go š
That’s a great idea and prevents mix-ups, plus everyone has the right size!
Wish my Dollar Tree had these, I don’t need 48.
We use a tiny plastic hanger that I saved from buying new curtains. It clips so they don’t slide off.
