3D Doritos to Return in January 2021 w/ New Name & Flavors!
This popular snack will be returning to grocery stores early next year! 🎉
If you’re a long-time fan of Doritos, then you may fondly remember the days of 3D Doritos. This line of “puffed” Doritos was introduced in the 1990s and inexplicably discontinued in the early 2000s. Since then, it’s been the #1 most requested product from Frito Lay’s customer contacts! After months of rumors, Frito Lay has now confirmed in its 2021 Playbook that a new version of these popular snacks will be making a comeback in January.
While the new 3D Doritos look like the same snack you might remember from the ’90s, the brand has made some changes to this line of products in preparation for its comeback. First of all, 3D Doritos will now be called Doritos 3D Crunch. Unlike the original 3D Doritos, which came in Jalapeño Cheddar, Nacho Cheese, and Zesty Ranch, Doritos 3D Crunch will return with two new flavors: Chili Cheese Nacho and Spicy Ranch.
Doritos 3D Crunch has a release date of January 18, 2021, so keep an eye out for these nostalgic snacks to reappear on a grocer’s shelf near you!

I saw Dill Pickle Doritos at the store last night!
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing! My son would love those! LOL!
They’re so good!
These were pretty good as a kid.
I was literally just talking to my husband about these last week! Fun!!
Got excited until I saw they aren’t coming out in the original nacho cheese flavor. But whhhhy lbs.
I got excited to see these were making a comeback again but did they have to make them both in spicy flavors? I can’t handle spicy things so a little disappointed.
These arent the same as the actual 3D Doritos. As someone who ate those a lot, i remember the originals very, very well. I believe the Doritos company mustve lost the original recipe and decided to puff up Bugles instead. The originals had no ripples, and had a very thin texture and the taste was bold but not spicy. Dont believe me? Look up the originals, get a bag if you can, and youll see the difference.
