   Thanks again for all the match-ups! I would never be able to get all the great deals without you guys doing all the work. I order from Walgreens at least once a week and always choose store pick-up so that I know my coupons apply correctly and it’s just easier. Today when I went up to the counter, one of the managers said, “Hi, Ms. R…, let me get your order.”!! Yep, they know me… I am lucky to have a Walgreens nearby that has excellent customer service and a friendly staff.

   My Walgreens will not allow me to use more than one savings coupon. So I can’t use RR rewards plus the $6 off of $20 coupon when available. Also, their in-store prices are much higher than online. The store is always out of so many things, and that messes up deals because they will fill the order with only one of the items @ full price. The people in the store are super sweet about taking things back, but this has not worked for me very often at all. Thank you Hip2Save for all you do to help! I just wanted to let others know this can be happening. I vowed to go in one more time to return and close out my RR, and they gave me a gift card. She told me I would be back! LOL.

  D, it depends on what type of RR you have. Not all are the same. Some are store coupons and some are manufacturer’s coupons. Look at the very top of the coupon and see if it says “store” or if it says “manufacturer’s”. Sometimes it is in the fine print. I can’t remember what exactly but something like “ limit one store wide coupon per transaction”. The $6 off $20 is a store coupon. Store coupons act as discounts and are not true coupons and thus would act as giving you two discounts on top of each other if you are combining those two types. A RR that is a true manufacturers coupon can be combined with a store wide coupon since Walgreens is reimbursed the full amount of the coupon on your behalf; thus there is no double discount. I’m so sorry Walgreens is not for you. For those readers who are continuing with Walgreens I highly suggest going to walgreeens.com/help and read the coupon policy and the questions and answers.   @D what I have started doing is finding the items in store I’m ordering and load them up in my cart, submit the online order, go up to the photo counter (or area where they fill the orders), tell them I just placed the order. Sometimes it takes a minute to download onto their devices. But it’s usually pretty quick and then they just fill the order on their device (scan the items or select “filled” on their device screen)… it’s soooo much easier and you know the order will be filled!

   I have clipped a couple of coupons for earning cash rewards. One is earn $6 on $20 purchase and one is earn $7 when make two purchases. How do I know if one of these will be applied? For example I am on my second purchase this week and both are over $20 however when I look at the projected cash rewards earned neither coupon looks like it has been applied because it is showing less than $1 back. I hope this makes sense.

  For the last two months the website has calculated points incorrectly but people have received the correct amount after purchase. The app tends to be more reliable but I always calculate my own. Go back and look at your first purchase in your rewards activity and see what you actually earned. The earn $6 when you spend $20 works like a standard dollar threshold deal. When you are in checkout look at the order summary. Take the items cost (pretax) and subtract the line “promos and coupons” . If that is equal to $20 or more than you have met the threshold to earn the $6 unless you use WC or a Walgreens gift card to pay for it. Ignore the line manufacturer’s coupons because Walgreens is reimbursed on your behalf for the amount of the coupon. Go back and look at that coupon for the $7 when two purchases are made—does it specify a certain amount for those purchases ? Usually I get an email from Walgreens telling me where I am with those types of coupons. Check your email. To recap here’s the formula—Items minus promos and coupons minus WC cash used to pay equals what Walgreens will reward in a dollar threshold deal. If you did not get your rewards call or chat with customer service.

   No7 deals look good. It is B2G1 free with some high value coupons and free gift with $30 purchase ship to store/home. Pataday has a nice manufacturer’s coupon plus a Walgreens coupon for a low price. Mederma has a nice digital plus a nice Ibotta. If you are thinking about doing the Olly deal hurry up before the Ibottas expire. Don’t forget to clip your booster coupon. If aiming for a low OOP combine the Bic Soleil razor and the Whole Blends shampoo and conditioner for a sweet store pickup deal. It is a very fine week coming up!

  You will need to buy 3 bottles. For the best buy stick with the varieties that are 2/$10. There are two coupons that you will clip, $5/2 items and $1.50 off 1. Use the weekly ad in the app to find the right varieties and the coupons. Search for Tresseme or find it in the Deals of the Week. Once you see it, click on “learn more”. Pick one of the 2/$10 varieties and clip the coupon through the ad.

   I just had a disaster shopping trip. I did the tresemme and crest deals and did not receive rr back. I asked about them and she said that they didn’t have the Catalina tape. I also had a coupon for make two purchases worth $10 each and get $7 Walgreens cash. This was my second trip this week and I made sure not to use any Walgreens cash. Not sure how I should proceed from here. Should I return the items or is there someone I can contact?

  I’m sorry your trip didn’t go as planned. You can get your RR’s – which are also called Catalinas. You can get the Catalina company to mail it to you if you’d like. Contact them at 1-888-8COUPON, or 1-888-826-8766. Press 3, then wait for a customer service representative and explain the situation. Just let them know which deal it was and they will walk you through the rest.
