Oscillococcinum is what I took last time I was sick and while i didn’t feel like i was as sick as my husband, i was sick just as long. Maybe if i took something along with it that would of helped

Oscillococcinum is a placebo and an expensive one at that. None of its active ingredient is present in a dose of the final product, nor is there any credible evidence that duck liver is effective in relieving (or causing) flu symptoms in the first place.
You should also check into the class action lawsuit, Gallucci v. Boiron, Inc., in which the company settled for $5 million due to overblown claims that its products had the ability to treat a wide range of ailments including the flu, arthritis, joint pain, aches, fevers, coughs, and insomnia.
If consumers want a hip tip to save money, avoiding products that are placebos would be a good way to save their healthcare dollars.
I always have sambucol available, with the slightest feeling of getting sick, I start taking it, and most times it helps my body fight and not get sick.
